Ducks. Like, come on. He’s your best player. Give him the bag.

  2. GoldMonk44

Offeeeerrrrrr sheet from the top rope with a chair 🪑

  3. Eillris

It would be fun if Stevie took him!

  4. CreateorWither

Hopefully the Habs, that’s a pathetic offer.

  5. Unfair_Turnip00

Chicago still got cap space? This should be a no brainer if they really want to jump start the rebuild.

  6. ChangeControll

I don’t follow the ducks, can someone explain why he’s worth more?

  7. comacove

the balls to offer just that much, if true. if true, that’s gotta be for 1 year, right? lol

you gave strome 5. you gave terry 7. if its a long term thing, 7-8 is where this is going, no?

  8. binchbunches

    Come on Chevy.
Get that sheet in the mail.

I think that’s fair. He’s great for the kids but mediocre

Give him 3.5 and light the fire under his ass. Make him PLAY for the big contract

2023 offer sheet compensation For reference:

    >$1,415,740 or less No compensation
    >
    >$1,415,741 to $2,145,061 Third-round pick
    >
    >$2,145,062 to $4,290,125 Second-round pick
    >
    >$4,290,126 to $6,435,186 First and third-round picks
    >
    >$6,435,187 to $8,580,250 First, second and third-round picks
    >
    >$8,580,251 to $10,725,314 Two firsts, a second and third-round picks
    >
    >Over $10,725,314 Four first-round picks

Ducks would likely match anything less than $4.2M, so a successful competing sheet would be 1st and 3rd at least. 1st can’t be lottery protected, so projected shit teams would 1) maybe have a hard time attracting Zegras and 2) may not want to part with their 1sts.

    2024 draft:

All teams still have their 1sts, but 12 teams don’t have their original 3rds. This leaves the following teams: ARI, BUF, CGY, CAR, CHI, CBJ, DET, FLA, MTL, NSH, NJD, PHI, SEA, STL, TBL, VAN, VGK, WSH, WPG

Of those teams, teams with their original 2nds required for >$6.4M: ARI, BUF, CGY, CAR, CHI, CBJ, DET, NSH, NJD, SEA, STL, VGK

Of those teams, « oddsmakers » projected teams to be near/above the playoff cusp to reduce chance of lottery-winning 1st: BUF, CGY, CAR, NJD, SEA, VGK

Of those teams, teams whose fans didn’t think Zegras sitting in their stands brought them bad luck during blowouts: BUF, CGY, CAR, SEA, VGK

Of those teams, teams already involved in trade talks for Zegras this week: BUF

Sharks can make this rivalry more interesting than it has ever been…

  12. H8ersAlwaysH8

Zegres side counters with 8mil? then they meet in the middle around 5-6?

  13. asparagusbruh

This is absolute madness we just signed killorn and gudas to huge deals I would’ve rather locked zegras up first

  14. that-bro-dad

Man this is such a surprisingly lowball offer for him. I have to assume there is something else management knows that we don’t.

  15. FrigginBuddy

I know habs have like no cap space but damn would I love to see Zegras-Caufield

  16. Inevitable-Lion100

Nashville needs a good scoring forward and I think they have the cap

  17. MF__SHROOM

For some reason i feel like hes the kind of player that has a ton of stickhandling skills and even though hes had very strong first couple seasons he could remain in a 50-60pts range thus being overvalued by anyone offering as if he’d become a ppg player. Also feel like he could disappear in the playoffs. However ive barely seen him play and all this opinion is based on absolutely nothing. I have no clue why i even feel that way. I just wouldnt give him the bag (given id be a terrible gm)

  18. minos157

If the Ducks are truly sticking to that number I’d guess he ends up on Buffalo, Jersey, or Chicago if Chicago thinks Zegras is worth one draft skip, which I think he’s well with.

Bedard and Zegras is a hell of a core to build around.

  19. tuxedo7777

Not much of a market for trick shot ponies…

  20. Killorn $6.25M, Strome $5M… Do they give contracts proportional to age?
