I think he can
I would like to see Benoit on the rouster
#3 will drop the gloves…nobody face washing #16 on the pp
SINCE when is a defensive liability a secret weapon yes he can score he is dangerous offensively but he is very poor defensively he will give up more goals then he will score Bobby Orr that is a secret weapon
Boucher is actually a comical coach,at least he was in TB with his facial expressions.
Leafs lack a shutdown Dman. They are built for offense only. Klingburg needs to be on PP1. Reilly shouldn’t see any PP1 mins anymore
Ok from my prospective from last season was this. The Leafs had two scoring lines two defensive lines that could get the puck to the O zone just to give it away in the O zone. The lines need to be balanced where every line needs to be able to put the puck in the net being offensive or defensive. How many times in the NHL has it been the 4 line has won the game for the cup!
Think about it? Love to see the stats, but think I'm right!!! Look at Perry older player still a great player floating around the league and what playing 4th line minutes and how many S rings has this guy have???
Rest my case! 0:26
Bert will be on the first PP to stand in front of the net. Having Marner and Matthews practicing one timers with JTand Bert in the dirty area's will bring a new element to the PP. Willie, Domi, Knies, Jarnkrok and Rielly/klingberg on the 2nd unit.
What worries me is the heart-pounding fear-of-god that was instilled in our opponents when they knew at any moment "the Beast" might go full rage mode and drop the gloves!?! That constant pressure applied to our foes was intense! Of course, we all know who this "Tyson II" man was…Justin "The Hulk" Holl! He was 6' 3' 197 lbs. of pure thunder! /sarcasm off It hit me when you were talking about Kilingberg, we get to have a full season of NO HOLL! Seriously, I think having anybody-but-Holl, and all that TOI, will make the Leafs so much better.
Then it also hit me, Klinger and Holl are 31 yrs. old, both are non physical types…oh no…and Holl has a much better recent +/-(+15, +14, +16 to -25, -28, -15) !? Gulp. So, we should expect to be frustrated at times with KIingberg's "defensive presence". But! Holl's top offense year was 21-22 with 3G, 20A = 23 Points. Klingberg's WORST offense year was 19-20 with 6G, 26A = 32 points{Dallas made it to Cup finals}. His best year was 17-18 with 82 GP, 8G, 59A = 67 points. If Klingberg stays healthy I think Zack is spot-on, the Leafs PP should be much better and more consistent, as Klingberg has averaged 15 Assists per season on the PP for his career. Final stat: The year Colorado won the Cup Devon Toews numbers – 66 GP, 13G, 44A =57 points. Seems doable!👀📍🏒
