  1. I'd take zegres. Hes solid. We are hoping these prospects turn out like him so why not just get him haha

  2. id take phil kessel over patrick kane.. but i rather go get zegras in a trade, or do nothing.

  3. well.. he would serve a purpose, you add an experienced player, and you wouldnt have to give up anything. im just worried about the entitlement Kane would arrive with

  4. Kane might not even be good anymore after having a major surgery. He is not worth the gamble especially when his talents are things Sabres are already good at.

  5. Great analysis. I’m more mad that Kane didn’t request to come to Buffalo many years ago after Chicago won their last cup and were on the decline. We could have really used him in those hard times.

  6. I agree that Kane… he'll block somebody younger and at this point.. better and probably chew up too much cap for too little return.. Zegras…well, he's young.. he'll block as well, but he'll be taking some of their place as he's a young guy himself that we could all hope those youngsters turn in to.

  7. is this guy going to stop taking trade rumors, Can't Liston to the same BS, Sad I'm a life long sabre fan and would love good hockey but not this guy. just rumors and trade talk gets gotten lame. Stopped liston to GR too cause of this guy.

  8. I, too, am not interested in Kane. If he really wanted to play for the Sabres, he should have requested a trade years ago.

  9. I think these forward lines are designed to get key prospects some ice quality time playing alongside NHL verterans. Tage/Dylan/Casey sounds like a good centre combination. I agree Peyton should be above 4th line, 3rd line wing seems the place to be. My lines would be: Jeff/Tage/Alex, JJ/Dylan/prospect (until Jack is fit), Peyton/CaseyVictor which gives us 3 scoring lines. The 4th line would be 3 of Tyson (Jost) Kyle/Zemgus/Jordan unless a prospect outperforms them in camp. Then you have the prospects. Lukas, Isak and Jiri will probably get time this season with Matt, and Zach next autumn along with Tyson (Kozak) as a 4th line specialist.

I do not see the need for Kane and/or Zegras. Are either of them an improvement given they are both defensive liabilities and the main problem with our forward group is defensive responsibility.

  10. No Kane or No Zegras……..either player is needed at this point. Keep our roster clean and internal prospects. Kane is damage goods at this point. Kane hasn't made being a Sabre is a thing or a dream scenario for him. Maybe as a last resort thing to keep his career going.
