What would your opinion be about going out and saving stamkos from the lightning before the regular season starts if the price was right? I think i would be a great move and would help this team now more than a patty kane signing forsure and would even venture on to say it would be better than zegras atleast for the season. We were appeared really close to signing him the only other time he has reached free agency, and i feel he would play with an edge since what tampa is doing to him. He had 80+ points last year and would help alleviate the "quinn hole" on the second line and if it doesn't work out for some reason we just let him walk at the end of the year.
Benson played a strong game really good on the forecheck.
Stillman levelled 2 players within 2 seconds. I didn't expect much tbh with this as it was almost all minor league players. I believe they had to dress 8 players that had NHL experience(per rules). I thought Washingtons goalie was keeping them in the game for the first period and wasn't sure if the boys were gonna beat him at all. Overall I expected the players on the Sabres to be good, and the rest of the team I didn't have any expectations. They changed Comrie for Tokarski after 2 periods but no reason why.

Bensom being 18 years old looked like owen power, lopked like he belonged flying around, well rounded, solid defensively, fantastic on the forecheck, doesnt not play like hes 18

Roam good to have the season starting up….my question is what are the Sabres going to do with the starting lineup and depth? I'm seeing that we have a lot of starting caliber guys at this point on defense and especially forward including a lot of young guys and not enough spots. I smell a trade if not now then at some point in the future… but if we wait we will just have to trade. Like to me, there is no room for Olofsson for example. Thanks

The team was a little slow getting going. But they pick it around the 10 minute mark. Zack Benson surprised me had a good game.
The boys looked fast in their breakouts,good passing and shooting.Benson is good enough to play in nhl now but id keep him in juniors.Kulich has a shot like olofson just not as accurate yet.Can see KULICH make the bigboy squad.D corp was suspect at times but ok for the most part
