StickS. He does it to Hamonic with his own stick to open the lane, but then he also does it to Brannstrom with his arm, delaying him enough to open the space for the shot.

Baron did the same thing on the PP goal against NJ. That’s just basic stuff if you want to play in the NHL.

Nick’s high hockey sense & hockey IQ is his best quality.
If you go back & watch that awesome last second game-tying Caufield goal vs Philly last year, you’ll notice that Nick was the only player on the ice who quickly kept looking up at the scoreboard to see how much time was left in the game.

That’s why Suzuki is what he is. When people starts to wonder what’s the difference between pro players and really good amateur/almost went pro players, this is a great example. It’s all the little things.

Actually all Bruins players were and are very good to do those kind of « picks ». Marchand and Pasta are also beasts with those not so obvious « interferance ».

After watching Corey Perry, Nick Suzuki decided to take a more subtle « Slick Stick » approach.

As soon as Cole stretched his stick on the inside as he turned, every Habs fan knew it was going in. Even before the shot.
And I can’t remember the last time a Habs player made us feel that way.
