Bedard. Yikes. Preseason, and he looks multiple levels above the competition. So much time and space, when the puck is on his stick, all eyes on Bedard. Elite player right now.

Backstrom, Ovechkin and Miroshnicehenko. If Backstrom is good enough with his skating that could be a killer line this season. Miro only dropped in the draft because of his cancer and the Russian uncertainty
Drew Commesso reminds me of Corey Crawford the way he is in net. Also, it's so weird to be to actually cheer for Perry after he got into a punchy moment I have always hated Perry but he's here to protect the young kids and he already started tonight.
Man I wish Bedard was anywhere else other than Chicago,,so I could root for him!
Bedard is a great team player always looking for the pass.

So cool to see things are coming up decently well with some of the Kraken guys that have revieved a nice boost in pay! Especially nice to see Bedard and Donato humming. Hopefully it works out for them both!

The Hawks looked like a bunch of guys who never played together. Which is what they were, for the most part. Not to shabby, though, even if they were kind of sloppy.

He looked wired for sound on the short interview after the first period.
I know these two points don't count, but he was on the ice and participated in both goals.
I'm not saying he's going to get 2 per game from now on, but it was a nice showing for the kid.

Hawks looked fast
Bedard definitely has a feel for the puck and he moves fast. I still doubt him ever living up to the hype. This is the NHL and opponents will get a read on his game and be able to slow him down and hit him hard. No doubt he is talented though.
I would not be surprised if the Blues make the playoffs. They just need to add 1 good veteran D with some some size & speed. The fwd group is sneaky good (the 2 rookies of Bolduc & Dean will be good, young Dman Perunovich has good off upside, & their back mul G – Hofer will ve a good one eventually)
Caps too, for some reason, I think they will compete for a WC spot. Nash, CLb, & Van are a bit of a conundrum, they will do well & compete for a WC or fall out of contention early.
Thomas has been working with Adam Oates.. hopefully that means more shots like that one last night.

I did get to watch the Hawks game, but I always like to get your take on the games :). I really liked the interaction between Bedard and the other team members. Was fun to watch. This season should be very interesting and exciting to see how the Hawks do this year.
Was at the Wings/Caps game. 4-3 very respectable for Wings since they were playing almost all prospects against the Caps veterans. No Larkin, Raymond, Seider, Perron, Debrincat, Rasmussen, Wallman, Husso etc for Wings.
One thing about Miroshnichenko. Ovechkin has really gone out of his way to mentor him. The Caps tend to do what makes Ovi happy, so I think Miroshnichenko makes the team.
Bedard looked composed as hell out there, a shame that puck was rolling on his breakaway. I imagine the whole stadium would blow the roof off the place, lol.
Reichel looked so confudent in his game, flying all over the place, fiending for a goal.
Korchinski was buzzing, assisting on Kurashevs goal, and there was one point where he lost the puck down low in St. Louis' end was able to rush back up to stop a potential breakaway
If this all continues into the season, this could be a very fun team to watch

The success Bedard and others were having at the dot was a nice surprise as well that I can't think can be underestimated. Would be amazing to not lose a weapon at the dot like we've had with Toews for forever.
