  1. Stützle is rounding out as the best. Playing against men in the DEL. Laf was in the Q dominating in the lesser league.
Ottawa fans are smiling right about now.

  2. I’m a huge Ranger fan, and it’s so frustrating. Watching all of these top prospects play like top prospects, and then there’s Lafrenière. Such a hyped prospect since Crosby at the time and this is the outcome. It’s just frustrating because he’s got the talent, I’m sure of it. 39 points is great when comparing to his first 2 seasons, but he’s a 1OA pick. 39 should’ve been his rookie year

  3. Robbie Fabri for the HOF! He's looked great for the Wings in preseason!

  4. This is partially why the Rangers aren’t true cup contenders. If their young high draft picks panned out they probably already have their ring

  5. Not everyone pans out. Get over it Ranger fans. As a Sens fan, glad we got the best 2 players of that draft, Stutzle and Sanderson. But I can remember when we got Daigle 1st overall in 1993 around the start of our new franchise and he was underwhelming for a #1 pick. He even said "Nobody remembers who went second." Well that aged poorly since Pronger went #2 and Karyia went #4 . Cheers

  6. It's not easy to play in NYC you see this from a lot of players in other sports as well, I think a trade to a lower market team will be the fix Laf needs but can the rangers get anything back for him at this point?

  7. Has anyone ever thought it’s got something to do with the coaching and managements development of these players and not the player himself? They can’t be all duds cmon! Lacking player development skills imo!

  8. Wouldn't it be funny if Alex Laferriere turns out to be a better player than Alex Lafreniere looking that way at least in this pre-season as Laferriere has looked fantastic to start pre-season

  9. A few points about Lafreniere:
    1. Don’t blame the guy, blame the organization who drafted him…and Kakko.
    2. The 2020 draft is not off to a good start. Other than Stutzle, no other player has really broke out.
    3. At least he’s not Yakupov

  10. Rangers don’t have good player development, in fact probably the worst in the league. Can wait for them to repeat what they did to hank with igor.

  11. As a Rangers fan I have picked up on a few things that got Laf to this point. 1. Not great skating, 2Rangers horrible development team that has been bad for a minute. 3 clog up of Left wing especially Panarin being a skill based lwer like Laf. Hopefully our new guy can help him make that leap

  12. What prompted this video? You assume something has happened and then you listen… and nothing. Three pre season games??

  13. Who cares where he was picked, just treat him like any other player, he’s good, if he were on the 1st PP unit he would probably put up 50 plus points. Those are 2nd line numbers. He’s an effective player, great around the net.

Seems like Rangers fans just want him tan out of town. I’m a Habs fan, I would gladly take him and we’ll give the Rags a 2nd round pick.

  14. They never deserved to have that first overall pick to begin with, wouldn't have much talk about laf if he got drafted by a rebuilding team

  15. Some of the blame has to fall on the Rangers developmental system. But, if he was really a great talent, he'd blossom in spite of the fact NYR seems to be inept at coaching up young talent.

  16. If Kakko didn't look like a bust as well… it would be on Laf all the way… but when you got 2 top picks who don't pan out… your development is the issue!! The Rangers have been fortunate to get back to back stud Goalies in Lundquist and Shersterkin… in order to cover their holes up front!! I saw them play last year… and they're not a bad team… they just aren't built right! It's a bunch of players lumped together it seems… and not players picked to complement each other! The only good thing of their Game 7 vs New Jersey… was the kid line

  17. He came from the Q. A league with notoriously weak defensive structure and highly inflated offensive numbers. Large players can impose their will and rack up the points in the QMJHL. Laf needed development, yet they threw him right in the NHL. QMJHL to NHL is a ridiculously massive leap. The Ranger are at fault because they have screwed up his development.
