    Suck it shit hawks.

    Draft rigging cheaters.

  4. BehemothManiac

Bedard is a bust. We can give 5th round pick for him.

  5. Forgetnk1

It was fun watching the generational prospect from the 2023 draft play against Connor Bedard.

  6. Salamangra

Shit, Danielson looked better than Bedard

  7. AirCanoe

That game had « we’re so back » vibes all over it and I loved every second

  8. NeuralHandshake

If you don’t get the first overall pick, it’s a brilliant decision to draft the guy who absolutely neutralizes the consensus first overall pick instead.

Hell of a game from Danielson. Wow.

[I’m not gay but I want to live in a log cabin in the woods with Michael Rasmussen.](https://i.imgur.com/Gz4NC5U.jpeg) We won’t ever have sex, but there will be a simmering erotic undercurrent as I stand in the kitchen window watching him grunt angrily as he shoots pucks at a dryer, shirtless, sweat pouring off his body. I’ll run upstairs and masturbate, the entire time forcing myself to think of women while my thoughts drift back to Rasmussen. I won’t be able to climax and I’ll eventually go back downstairs, angry. Sometimes we will look across the table and catch each other’s eyes, and in that second, anything is possible, but we both deny ourselves and go back to what we were doing. One day one of us will die, and the other will bury him outside the log cabin and pour a can of Vernors on the grave. Then he’ll go inside, pen a brief missive to his departed friend, put on his best Carhartt flannel and commit suicide, never able to deal with life without his one true platonic love.

I for one am shocked the Wings knew to key in on late round sleeper pick Connor Bedard. Stevie must have some amazing amateur scouts to have found out about a guy that wasn’t on anyone’s radar

    Guys, I think we’re legit

  12. jackstalke

    Ras and Compher look awesome

  13. Mokle7

Danielson goes 1st in a redraft, the kids got it

  14. Natwanda

Danielson dummying Bedard at the end was a wonderful way to validate Bedard’s toughest opponent claims

  15. slabby

They just keep giving Danielson more and more minutes and he doesn’t fall off.

I thought Kasper was pretty good, too.

  16. Carbon__addiction

Danielson standing up Bedard was *chef’s kiss* beautiful.

  17. ParksandRec69

I like JT Compher a lot more than I thought I would. Lombardi had a really good game, seemed like he’s kinda been under the radar a bit considering what Danielson has been doing.

This team is going to be stupid deep. Sprong is gonna be a 3rd-4th liner and the dude scored 20 goals last season and was a man amongst boys tonight.

I’m hoping to see Ras on the top line with Larks and Cat this preseason. Please.

  19. SamsnuggleGalaxyS9

My only complaint about that game is that Lalonde benched 27 – 37 – 57 for the last 10 minutes in favor of throwing the younger guys through the ringer or something, denying us the inevitable Ras hatty.

  20. Few-Listen-1118

    Nate and elmer are gods

  21. CD23tol

Danielson being tested, played key role on a back to back and he stepped up

The staff likes the kid and Danielson keeps exceeding, I think he’s makes the opening night roster

  22. Wheresthesass

So I missed this one, fair to say it was a competitive game between both teams and that they were completely and evenly matched?

  23. Aterro_24

Feels like the offensive systems are pretty well entrenched, at lot of good puck movement both on 5v5 and Powerplay passing to where people should be, and they are. Players moving around and switching places to temporarily cover well too. Hopefully the zone entries get better with the full roster.

Defensively all preseason I like what I see, no glaring blown coverages, a lot of the goals so far have been tips or deflections which cut through defenses/goalies efforts regardless.

Last I’m not saying he’s been as good, but feels like people have been putting down Kasper in order to praise Danielson. I like what both are doing? Is he NHL ready? No, but he does a lot of good stuff too and in all the play time this off-season he’s been on a lower line- not as easy to get points

    Give 👏 Ras 👏 the 👏 A 👏

  25. bestprocrastinator

Ras is scoring 60 this year. Change my mind.*

*Don’t actually try to change my mind.

  26. Bicycles19

Anyone have a clip of Nate DANhandling bedard and almost setting up edvinsson for a goal at the very end there?

  27. BenAdaephonDelat

Holy shit man. I.. I kind of feel bad for Bedard. Please tell me he’ll be in the AHL this year? Playing him in the NHL in that environment surrounded by a bunch of nobodies on a team that will almost certainly be in the basement again is not a good idea for his development.

  28. SubmissionDenied

r/hockey crying if you dare mention that bedard was shut down all night

  29. CursedLemon

I was at the game tonight. Watching Bedard is interesting, obviously it was only one game but it looked like he was struggling to find a way to be effective. He doesn’t appear to have the physical attributes that make players like McDavid/Crosby/Ovechkin successful so I’m interested to see how he’s going to handle the transition going forward.
