I hope they put Danielson into a game or two against an A-team. If he plays well in that, then 9 games of 16 minutes a night while sending down Berggren and scratching Kostin or Fischer is cool with me.
We can reassess at that point.

Satisfying pre-season so far. Only worth so much, but they’ve checked the boxes of things you want to see: young top prospect making more of a case than expected (Danielson), other prospects pushing for a roster spot are looking good (Ed), potential breakout players like Ras showing signs of another big step forward, and new additions looking like they fit it well. It’s only preseason, but the encouraging signs that you’d like to see are there so far
Wouldn’t be a pre-season without a plug/fringe guy like Alex Vlasic throwing a bs hit like that knee yesterday… at least he got the 5+ game for it. I’ve liked Edvinsson showing a take no bs edge to him so far
The chemistry between JT Ras and DP yesterday was great to watch. I think JT will get the 2C
Well it’s officially Red Wing szn now that the Tigers are done. The Miggy retirement hit just as much as the Hank one for me, I’m glad he got a send-off though unlike Z who just had to hang em up due to his back. Still beyond upset the Tigers never could win a WS with him on the roster.
Hopefully they’re all televised but after today, there are 3 preseason games in a row, woo! Bring on Red Wings hockey!!
What do we think about Soderblom? Opening night roster? First in line for a call up? Or a year in GR?
