  1. johnny you are going strong, im so happy for you 40k. congrats man

    requesting more dad intros

its bedard or best for calder.

  2. another guy people are sleeping on is Tye Kartye, he did really well in the playoffs last year for Seattle

  3. The big surprise is that he's playing for the Flames at all. I thought he was going to take the Adam Fox/Jimmy Vesey route and end up on the Rangers, so anything we get from him is gravy.

  4. Frontrunner: Bedard
Good chance if something happens: Fantilli/Cooley
    Sleeper: Brandt Clarke
    Dark Horse: Devon Levi
    Wild Cards: Logan Stankoven/Luke Evangelista

  5. I believe the race will be heavily influenced by who these rookies are going to play with, to the point that despite being on paper the most talented by far and clearly playing first line minutes on day 1, im not even sure Bedard will win the Calder with how poorly he is backed up in Chicago.

    Hall and who ?

Other rookies with clearly better potential line mates, offensive defenseman and good goaltender could sneak in front of him in the race.

That being said Chicago seems similarly invested for the Calder trophy to Bedard as Washington is for the Gretzky goal record for Ovechkin, but unlike Washington they don’t put at risk a chance to the playoffs by doing that.

  6. yup your right this kid could be our guy and nobody but avid flames fans are even thinking of Coronato let alone talking about him their all star struck with bedards ankle breaker move he did in a "pre-season game" just saying…

  7. I think due to potential quality of linemates, it will probably be Fantilli as he will have the best chance to win the calder on that top line. Based on the skillset of the player, and the fact that he will have a ton of minutes, Bedard won't be a surprise either. I don't think Coronato is going to win the calder, but I do think Coronato is going to be very good. Everyone talks about his shot, but he looks very good everywhere else too on the defensive and offensive end.

  8. I think Calgary will do well if Vladar or Wolf is in the net. Markström was so bad against winnipeg. And allways start of the period……

  9. Coronato is solid but you cant be saying he is a dark horse for the calder. No way he can compete with bedard, hughes, cooley, levi, etc.,
