Classement des gardiens de chaque équipe canadienne

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/ranking-each-canadian-teams-goaltending-ahead-of-the-2023-24-season/ Les Canucks classés 6 sur 7 me semblent bas 🤷🏻‍♂️

Flames have no reason to be as high as they are.

  2. ryeguy22

Horseshit. We somewhere in the top 3 baby

  3. Iron_Seguin

Yeah no way in hell does Samsonov and Woll out rank anyone lol. This list is horseshit.

Seems low to me too.. Id love to see what these ratings would be if these other goalie duos were playing behind the defensemen duos we’ve had for the past couple years. On a positive note, I’m sure almost everyone agrees that our defense this year is quite an improvement from last year, especially considering penalty killing experience since that’s been our achilles heel

  5. Nazy19

As soon as I saw the Sens being 3rd on the list, I immediately clicked off

  6. Semprovictus

this is actually insulting, but that’s fine.

    embrace the underdog status.

demko should be number 2 on this list

    Toronto #2? Vancouver #6?

This is typical Toronto-based Sportsnet bias…what a dumb rankings!

  8. Judge24601

    … what?

like I can see not thinking demko is a franchise goalie after last year. but worse than samsonov? *Korpisalo?*

  9. happigofucky

Realistically we shouldn’t expect outsiders to value our goaltending until demko is able to keep a 915 sv% for over 2-3 months. It’s been a rough year and a half. If he turns it around and has a good year and a half everyone will be saying he’s one of the best American goalies and on a steal contract. He just needs to perform.

I know his hips went through a lot. I think he’s still a good goalie but we’ll see what the numbers say this year

  10. Thrustavious

Vancouver is ranked 6th because of half a season of struggles by Demko… yet Markstrom was shit all year and they’re ranked 5th?

And the Toronto ranking absolutely baffles me.

  11. marsisblack

Wuhahahahahah!!!! Samsonov and Wohl in second? Oh wait, they are being humble and putting the leafs second not first.

  12. ANarrowUrethra

We lost John Garret at Spencer Martin this year. What do you guys expect

  13. Weekly-Sheepherder-1

This batch of Maple Leaf Kool-Aid is strong

Typical east coast sports media bias. “Toronto good. West coast exists?”

Now take this with a grain of salt, but I saw both Demko and Stuart Skinner play live the other night.

Demko was generally very solid. The first goal he had no help from his D-men and the second goal was a perfect snipe on a 2-on-1. Can’t blame him too much for that. One thing I noticed he got a little too overconfident playing the puck in the 3rd but the game was kinda out of reach for the Oilers at that point, but I was still nervous. Nevertheless, a good, solid performance.

Skinner made some good saves but he stood way too far back in his net on the Kuzy PP goal and TBF his D-men gave him no help on Petey’s snipe. That 2nd goal by Quinn Hughes though was just bad. He was screened, sure, but he really should have had that one, and I’m a Canucks fan lmao who was happy he let it in.

Demko shouldn’t be 6th out of 7 for sure.

It seems like Sportsnet and their ilk rank Vancouver the way they do because they’ve found that we always will click through to the article.

That being said, we haven’t been a good team for awhile so the author might just be looking at the stats from last year? Thats the only thing that makes sense to me

  17. Lattes1

I don’t agree with the article but it seems to be mostly stats based.

Demko hasn’t had as good of stats as these other goalies because he’s been behind absolutely dog shit teams.

  18. superworking

I’m usually pretty hard on the Canucks but I might have them second to Winnipeg here. 6th is pretty ridiculous.

  19. MarvelousOxman

    IMO:

    Winnipeg

    Vancouver

    Calgary

    Edmonton

    Toronto

    Ottawa

    Montreal
