Losing Lassi sucks but JBD and Sokolov clearing is good wouldnt have been upset to lose JBD though hes been brutal
@Graviteh where do u see zegras' ceiling at the peek of his career? Is around 100 pts per season a realistic expectation?
Only 6pts out last season without Norris Sens can still make the playoffs but its a lot harder
cant believe anyone would even want JBD hes not good at all showed horribly in this camp was way worse than Lassi Sokolov could still make the team this just gives more cap flexibility

Zehra’s situation reminds me of the Marco Rossi situation with the Wild. Rossi was kept in the minors for 2-3 years because the Wild wanted him to be more defensively responsible. Wild was a better team than Anaheim so they could afford to do that. I don’t expect Zegras to be defensively responsible right away this year. Heck he may never learn.

With the Zegras situation it's interesting how just a few days ago Nail Yakapov went on a podcast and said he had problems w Dallas Eakins as his 1st coach. He said something to the effect of Dallas would say play better defense but did nothing to teach it and ultimatley Eakins helped to ruin his overall self confidence. Z def needs to mature some with his antics and defensive play but its now makes more sense why he did not gel w Eakins as his coach and partialy why his defense hasn't developed. Hopefully Cronin is the teacher he's billed to be. GO DUCKS!
I think Zegras is too "weak" both mentally and physically to be a "superstar" in NHL. Unfortunately so. I have to add he seems more like hippy free surfer boy than hockey player. Am i wrong?
The evolution of Bedard will be interesting. I can see him holding out after his entry deal. He don't look happy in Chicago. Think he wants home which is Vancouver. The bounty will be the highest ever given for a player. On the other side he will be the first 15 million player. No bridge deal but a lock in till hes in his mid 30s. Of course generational is not a sure thing.
I know it’s easy to bash JoJo, but he was above average with the avalanche and has posted two huge shutouts so far in preseason so maybe they just ride with it
