Why omit the real Blackhawks logo? The Indian head is the primary. Too many people hate the hawks for no reason.

  2. Warthog9198

They certainly have the talent to be considered a contender.

Not an Oilers fan but I have to say they are a favorite.

I know it takes a complete team to win it all, though. But if *both* McDavid and Draisaitl go nuts in April and the goaltending is at least average, then they have as much of a chance as anyone in the west to go to the SCF.

  4. yupkime

A hot or cold goalie at the end of the season will probably be the difference again.

  5. MrWillM

They did better against the Knights than the Panthers. It’s not ridiculous at all. Honestly just want the 06 matchup again lol.

Why does everyone think the rangers are gonna be this good I just don’t get it

  7. dragosn1989

Team defense will be the problem for the Oilers. Not in pre-season or the regular season, but during the playoffs.

Seattle would be Dark Horse pick for me.

  9. shittybillz

I’d put Colorado, New Jersey and Dallas up with Edmonton and Carolina. Vegas should be there too, though I really don’t think they’ll go back to back.

  10. Mfed23

Rangers should be in playoff caliber

  11. AWokenBeetle

The Blue Jackets could be interesting, they got completely wrecked with long term injuries early of which they’re getting back, Laine, Gaudreau, and Fantilli should be absolute monsters to deal with, Coach Poison is gone with could boost locker room morale.

If they can stay healthy, they might give out a gut punch or three to a team that isn’t trying as hard as they should or looking past them

  12. Sweatymari0

    We’re behind the… canucks?

  13. Reallyme77

Tampa getting dissed, and Canucks over the Kraken? My B’s aren’t what I would call Cup contenders right now. More like playoff calibre imho.

  14. khure8

So apparently Seattle completely falls off this year? Don’t know how you came up with that scenario.

  15. mackharp0818

They did nothing to address their defense and goaltending. Contender, but not the favourite

  16. meesterstanks

Rangers over the devils? lol thats crazy to me

  17. CalgaryCheekClapper

Ottawa , WPG , Vancouver over buffalo is insane

  18. ViewedConch697

They need very good performances out of just plain good players. If they can get that, then I see no reason why they wouldn’t be a favorite

  19. ABC123BabyABC

Year after year it’s carolina and edmonton.

One year your bound to be right.

  20. quinnbeast

Surprised to see the Bruins so high. The mood around New England is not nearly as optimistic.

  21. WallStreetRegards

I think Dallas and New Jersey are ahead of Edmonton…

  22. Urmommostlikelyahoe

Calgary and Winnipeg ahead of the Kings😂 Kings are dark horse or above 100%

  23. Jitsu4

Look, I’ll be the first to shit on any Rangers fan. But to keep it completely objective, how are they are bubble cup contender team? Is that shesterkin diff?

  24. fixurfac3

Edmonton vs Vegas was pretty much the cup final last year

  25. dh2513

Oilers been up there since their first 1st pick

  26. Constant-Squirrel555

Pittsburgh should be a dark horse.

And no Edmonton isn’t even a contender, they’re firmly playoff calibre.

  27. domo77o

No this whole list is wrong. I mean look at how high they have the Rangers.

  28. IamLiterallyAHuman

We’re better than them, so no.

  29. ginfish

The Habs are expected to be the 2nd worst team in the league? I mean… I don’t expect the playoffs but I’m surprised expectations are this low. Oh well. Here’s to another meaningless year of hockey.

  30. DrummerSecure4472

Oilers and Hurricanes could be due for a rematch.
