Ever year, the last week of training camp should be intently studied and remembered as evidence that other NHL GMs generally don’t give a shit about your team’s 25 year old AHL/NHL tweener.

Makes sense. Nylander is kind of a washout at this point and cap space is a commodity. Can’t waste it on a tweener player.

I mean that’s kind of a bummer lol. Like if we have no AHL talent other GMs want then all we have to trade are picks/prospects

The level and quantity of depth we’ve been able to get through waivers is fantastic. We should be considerably more resilient to injuries to non-Crosby/Malkin forwards than we’ve been the last few years.
