@Wild du Minnesota

[Friedman] Pas de surprise, mais la prolongation de Ryan Hartman se rapproche en MIN. Cela ressemble à trois ans avec une augmentation significative par rapport à son montant actuel de 1,7 million de dollars.

    Three years is fine but significant raise has me worried

  2. He realistically deserves to be paid a lot more than Foligno, and paying him a cent over 2 million is a gigantic mistake. So get ready for the new cap hell!

    How to flush all goodwill down the drain 101… wtf BillyG stop signing 30+ year olds before their deals are up

    I really dislike the overall philosophy of signing all three of these guys before the season starts, but I love Hartman and of the 3 he’s the one I’m happiest is staying. As long as he doesn’t get crazy AAV.

    I’ll be happy with anything under what Bunting got (3 x $4.5 million), I feel like he’s a pretty good comparable. Similar production with great linemates, and both play like assholes sometimes. Bunting is a bit younger but Hartman has been better in the playoffs.

    Hartman deserves to get paid, glad he will be sticking around.

    these guys deserve to be around for at a few years of non-cap hell as far as I am concerned. If it’s three years I’m not concerned. he’s certainly earned it, one of the few guys on the team who got points in the post season the last two years as well

    People are going to really underrate Hartman when this deal gets signed. Not saying it’s for sure going to be good, but the guy paced to 51 points last season playing primarily without Kaprizov, plays well in all 3 zones, can play both special teams units, plays center and wing, and plays which an edge (which has admittedly caused the team some problems at time). He’s worth a lot more than people are going to give him credit for if this thread is an indication.

    Nice! We have a great core for the future after this one

    Please, can anyone more knowledgeable about the NHL tell me why you would sign a guy, let alone all three before their final year?

    Anything higher than 3×3.5 would be a bit too much for my liking. I am all for keeping hartsy, but within reason. If this is the case, he better stay out of the box. Last year he only played 59 games but had 90 PIM (95 PIM the previous year with having played a full season). I expect him to be higher on the PIMs but he’s gotta be smarter about it because he is actually a great depth player for us.

    Thing is, if we had a better option by now, it would have shown up. Foligno is the outlier, but Zuccarello and especially Hartman are good enough to keep going for the years they get. Hartmanis younger and more versatile, so he fits like Gaudreau does. It really depends on cost.

    What I like most is the staggered nature of each deal. They get different scenarios so they don’t have to redo or let go all guys at all the same time.

    Don’t forget the NMC along with the raise!

  14. chummyspoof

    man I’d be way more comfortable with hartman getting like 4 mil or even 5 if we had gotten foligno at like 2. the dude deserves a raise, but I’m anxious about how much

    I have a strong suspicion whatever Hartman gets if it’s a 3 year (excluding over 4M AAV, which I’d be fine giving him 4.5M) should’ve been swapped with Moose if that makes sense. Love moose but Hartzy produces and still has a more responsible grit to his game. Just a little less penalties this year please bud.
