why would they trade him? who could we offer?
I doubt that Florida is willing to trade him and if they do, the return would likely be high and therefore a non starter.
We are already rocking three goalies on our roster; I could see it if we knew a trade was on the table for Allen, but this is above my paygrade.

Kid hasn’t played a game in many months, that’s why they’ve sent him down. Not the cap, not the players attitude, the lack of playing time.
Didn’t we just draft like 3 goalies, are invested in Monty after a few years of giving him reps… on top of it we’d have to give up some of our D prospects to a division rival along with other assets… I just don’t see the point of this.

I am willing to bet that if Knight was on the board with Caulfield there we would have drafted Knight. He had really interesting combine stats (like top three in 8 exercises or something). Not saying it would have been the ideal pick but I would take a gamble on him especially because of the emphasis Florida has put on goalie development

ngl we gotta start looking at goaltenders because I dont know what their long term plan for #1 goalie is here. Allen is a veteran with his ups and downs, Monty is solid but I would see him more like a backup goalie (a solid one tho who can definitely step in when needed). Who else is there? Primeau is nowhere near the NHL level imo so why not look elsewhere?
