i hope he blows the doors off in lehigh every night. i thought he would get claimed but this is good for the phantoms, and maybe wade forces his name back into the main roster discussion later

I bet the glass bones syndrome probly scared some teams that would have taken him away
I hope he succeeds but I think people are really putting too much stock into him. He’s turning 26 this month, is injury prone, and put up like 3 points in the last 15 games with the phantoms last season. Farabee, Konecny, foerster, brink, Tippett, tuomaala, Atkinson, desnoyers all looked better than him at camp. And obviously Atkinson is older but we’re rebuilding and once michkov comes over and we draft more I don’t see a place for him on wing. He has a good shot but he’s not going to get power play time or significant minutes
He could be a call up midseason but I think there are obvious reasons he didn’t get claimed
Very surprised nobody picked him up. Maybe it’s his health history or something.
Regardless I’m happy he’s still within reach

Great example of hope local fan bases overvalue their own guys. Wade Allison is nothing more than a 26 year old NHL/AHL tweener with a ceiling as an everyday bottom 6 guy but we had people up in arms here that were going to “lose” him since we picked other guys over him to make the 4th line
I don’t think he’s going to give up, glad he’s still in the organization. Say what you want about this kids body failing him, but his mindset and his optimism has never seemed to. Hard to not root for a kid that just loves to play and is willing to do anything for the team. I hope he finds that next level because he seems like a good guy to go to war with.
