Never ideal to cough up 4 straight but the fight was there. Lots of good looks from the kids.

Might be time for us to offload Robertson for some picks or someone more serviceable. Kid just can’t figure it out mentally and he serves no specific role with the team that anyone els doesn’t do *better*. There’s kids like minten and Knies that are green as hell and still have the hockey IQ and are getting the system down and playing as a unit. Robertson doesn’t know how to do anything other than barrel straight down the ice there’s no pull ups, he doesn’t open up ice for his teammates or slow down play, there’s no lateral play and barely any team play. I’ve been rooting for the kid for years now and I’m just over it. We don’t need him, his value is in picks or a trade at this point.

I don’t envy the Leafs management on deciding who stays and who goes. The bottom guys all played their hearts out and if we lose Lafferty it’s going to suck. Losing Jones will suck too.

Final lineup prediction for opening night:

    Bertuzzi – Matthews – Marner

    Knies – Tavares – Lafferty

    Domi – Nylander – Jarnkrok

    Gregor – Kampf – Reaves

    Rielly – Brodie

    McCabe – Liljigren

    Giordano – Klingberg

    Samsonov

    Woll

This is basically the look it seems they’ve wanted since day 1 of camp and I don’t think anything substantial enough has transpired to make them stray from that.
