Remembering that anyone they part ways with is part of their depth and they don't have a lot of depth whoever they get would have to be better than that. We'll see. Thanks for the information. Happy Thanksgiving for those celebrating it at this time. Take care all.
I expect a trade too. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than one. Too many contracts so they have to thin it out.

Who would the Oilers trade and who would they get? I think Kane has fit well, remember that hatrick last year? And how he helped bring team spirit after that girl got spit on?
I think Niemelainen and Pederson might be the most likely to be traded, and Erne gets released from his PTO because the remainder of our cap space will be used up by Broberg if both Pedy and Neimo are sent to other teams. The guys that I actually want to trade (Ceci and Kulak, maybe Foegele as well) have somewhat expensive contracts and/or too long of term for some teams, making it rather difficult to trade those guys without adding a draft pick and/or prospect, or having to retain a percentage of their respective cap hits. Though Foegele and perhaps Ceci might get traded before the trade deadline, depending on where the Oilers are in the standings by the All-Star break or maybe by Christmas, but how they perform by then will determine their value on the trade market. Foegele will most likely be a rental if he does get dealt, so the Oilers might get a draft pick or a good prospect in return.
