So what will the opening lineup look like ?

  2. bless24

very disappointed that norlinder did not make it. could’ve been a great message for the young players. he deserves it over barron.

If my maths are correct, we’re now 20,833$ over the cap with Price on the roster. Likely another paper transaction coming today to get under.

Edit: It also shows how much having Weber AND Price on LTIR was pretty much a death sentence for our offseason cap shenanigans.

So what is our cap situation with these 3 cuts?

Norlinder might not be there yet, but he will be soon.

Even tho i’m super disappointed for Norlinder, i don’t doubt he left a great impression and will be back someday when injuries happen.

It kinda makes sens tho when you think about it.

Barron is at his last year of contract and hasn’t been able to show consistency. I reccon FO want to give it one last chance while this season is still a reconstruction one to see if we extend him next year or move on. We have Mailloux and Reinbacher a RDs in the pipeline.

I wouldn’t be surprized to see Kent move some young Ds this year again in a trade.

Norlinder definitely had a good camp but maybe the thought is to send him down and make sure he can keep up the good play. Make it be known to Barron that there’s competition behind them.

Real questions are which D sits and how are they going to manage the ice time for them.

Im fine with this. I want Norlinder to force the team’s hand by dominating in the AHL.

    It’s Barron one last chance

Really liked what I saw of Heineman. Fast, hits hard, good shot. Thought for sure he would make the club.

The Laval Rocket to be renamed the Laval Logjam

Or Montreal decides to create a second AHL team located in Brossard and revive les Voyageurs.

As long as they told him “hey you had a great camp, we’ll be seeing back in Montreal soon” I’m cool with him rocking out in the A for a bit! Feel like Barron really needs to step up now.

With Armia buried in Laval, I thought they were giving Heineman a spot in MTL. Disappointed they prefer a washed up Pearson over him

Norlinder and Mailloux should be back this season.
