It’s going to be absolutely glorious when he raises our first Stanley Cup. He stayed with us through our worst time in franchise history and wants to earn it the hard way. He didn’t whine and complain or ask for a trade when things got hard. I love having this man representing our city.

I've been a Sabres fan since day one and have lived 500 to 2500 miles away for forty years. I can honestly say I've never had tears in my eyes for a contract extension before today. Thanks, Dahl; way to go Kevyn.
Bit of an overpayment, but that's what's needed for a full 8 year commitment. Dahlin is a stud now, with room to grow his game.

So happy he is on track to reach his full potential. Feel like Granato is a perfect match for this young team and deserves some credit for the development of guys like Dahlin, Thompson and Cousins. Don't be surprised if players like Jost and Greenway find the scoresheet more frequently than last season.
