Youve got to keep in mind Bertuzzi has never played a full 82 game season yet. He has serious injury problems with the way he plays. IF Bertuzzi can somehow stay healthy he can get 25. I can guarentee that was one of the reasons Bertuzzi didnt get that big contract we were all expecting him to get. Teams want to see him actually play a full 82 game season and see what he can do for a whole season before they commit to a 6-7 year deal at 7-8Million for this guy. I guarentee you if he had played 82 games in the last 2 season he would have got that 7×7 or 7×8 contract

There are people you think Keefe is a sub-standard NHL coach. His record is 166-71-30 in the regular season, so rather impressive actually. I think Treliving looked at a lot of game recordings & related breakdown by Leaf staff, coming to the conclusion this is a top 5 NHL team, so what's the upside to trading a star player unless it will improve the team. He obviously didn't think Keefe was the problem after prolonged meetings to get to know him & extended him shortly thereafter. Are they the right decisions? We'll find out when they play the actual games.
My view is Bertuzzi & Domi bring offence with some bite & Minten/Knies/Jarnkrok could be a really solid 3rd line. If Bertuzzi & Domi play decent D, then the forward group is better than last year imo. I don't know what to make of Klingberg or Reaves to date, so until the 20 game mark is reached, the jury is out for me. Hoping for the best, as usual.

Yes I like the additions of Bertuzzi, Domi & Reaves and I’m looking forward to seeing a full season of Knies, but it’s on the core players to STEP UP when it’s time to step up. And stop getting your doors kicked in by bottom feeders. I also can’t get past that terrible goal song they keep rolling with. That tells me they have the same identity. That song is associated with nothing but failure. It sounds like something minions and ballerinas would walk out to. And until further notice, it reflects the Leafs perfectly
