It’s like Kraken fans haven’t had decades of national broadcast blackouts to condition them, or something.

Hockey’s sadly kinda hard for radio commentary unlike baseball. Basketball kinda sucks too.

You know what if I sit and my car even if it’s not moving and listen to the game I’m golden. If I sit in my living room and listen I’m raging foaming at the mouth staring at the TV like a mad man.

Do the Kraken have a broadcast designed for listening? Or is it just the video commentator without the video?

I used to listen to games on the radio all the time when I was working nights.
It’s listening to games on the radio is kinda nostalgic for me because my dad would always be listening to it when I was kid.

I tried the 🏴☠️ route for last night and it just reminded me how much I hate television ads. I did radio for all the games I didn’t attend live last season, will just go back to that I think.

I wonder if the organization will try to do anything about it? They certainly cannot grow support very easily when the TV network that carries almost all of the games is being pushed to obscurity and most people will not even have access to it.
Xfinity TV packages are so expensive now after STEEP increases in the last year or so- and I just checked, it’s a $35 bump to go up to the next tier that would include Root Sports.
I love watching the Kraken, but am not going to spend that much more to move up just to get Root. So, that leaves yet another fan here who has no way to watch games other than the slim few that happen to be on ESPN or TNT.
And for other potential fans who need exposure to get sucked in, it’s out of sight out of mind most likely, unless they are already spending big $$ for a top tier TV package already.

I do too. Does anyone else who listens frequently find Al Kinisky’s voice sounds flat or a little muddled?

I listened to a whole game on KJR last night for the first time. That broadcast team is tight, it was great.

Do ESPN+ with a VPN. it can be a bit tricky but works well
