Gentlemen, start your screaming.
Honestly, I’m happy. Bedard’s first goal, and we didn’t get absolutely blown the fuck out by the team who just set the record for the most points in a season.
saw some history made with Bedard’s goal. tough loss but Soderblom was really good given how bad our D was
I mean they were probably gassed. I honestly think this team is more competitive than people think. Playing back to back against two skilled teams in their opening nights and playing the way they did is pretty impressive.
Seth jones needs to go dude is absolutely brutal
Fuck it, dynasty’s over, trade Bedard /s
* Bedard scored his first NHL goal on a wrap-around.
* Hall and Foligno were welcomed back to TD Garden.
* Frederic tipped in a Carlo shot.
* Bedard generated a few great chances. Marchand tried to get under his skin.
* Hall left with an injury after a hit.
* Pastrnak beat Soderblom on a rush.
* Dickinson fought Beecher after he boarded Guttman.
* Bedard led the team with 6 shots on goal, 7 shot attempts, and 5 scoring chances.
* Soderblom saved 31-of-33.
Team was gassed by the 3rd period from the back to back but played hard until the end against a very good Bruins team. No shame in losing. Our youngsters impressed again. Hopefully Hall’s injury isn’t anything too bad, we need him on Bedard’s line.
Get some rest boys then on to Montréal.
Has there been some kind of statistical breakdown of the empty net strategy? I feel like I watched a video about it once but the concept just blows my mind.
Bedard, Soderblom, Korchinski, Reichel, and Vlasic looked good and that’s what important.
Kaiser had a rough game, but it’s going to happen with 3 rookie defensemen.
Would I have liked a win? Yes.
Were there tons of bright spots for both individuals and the team in the second of a B2B? Also yes.
Through the first two games, they don’t look so bad. Definitely look more alive than they did last year. Still a long season ahead, but so far not so bad
Launch Jones into the Sun please.
another decent game, didn’t play as well but expected on a back to back vs a better team
Bedard scored!!! And Soderblom looked great, hoping the goaltending plays solid all year
Hopefully Hall is okay 🙁
It’s so frustrating how bad they are at face offs. Couple days of rest and get back at it with the Habs.
There has to be several upgrades to this team, but Bedard has shown he can carry a whole line. Mrazek and Soderbloom were solid back to back nights, and this team plays faster. Once again it’ll be a process but this season is about player development and finding what pieces will be long term. Any wins are just a bonus and they hung with Boston tonight
I’m all for giving him an extended chance, but in the end id be surprised if Reichel isn’t playing wing.
I thought the hbo live sports streaming was live? It’s almost a whole period behind…?
-Bedard was fantastic again, his first goal was absolutely electric.
-Soderblom was so solid in net and kept this from being a 5-1 game.
-Korchinski might stay for more than 9 games.
-Reichel and Bedard need to join together on a line fuck it, get AA far away from both of them.
Officiating was dogshit tonight but the Hawks also looked sloppier as the game went on. Whatever on to the next🫡
I thought Soderbloom looked really good for a 24 yr old. Especially since our defense looked slow and out-played whenever 98 wasn’t on the ice.
Its like bedard is the only player on the offense lol. The team looked terrible tonight we couldnt sustain a pressure to save our lives and aside from Bedard it was all horrible completely controlled dump and chases.
Gotta regroup and look better on Sat
Fuck the schedule makers
17 seconds and bedard popped his cherry on these clowns. Fantastic
Why did Dickinson get a misconduct? Still don’t quite get that
Man, the team played so so good but the missed calls definitely got to them.
Such highlights include:
Beecher boarding Guttman so hard he sent him flying 5 or 6 feet into the boards where Dickinson would then get 10 more minutes worth of penalties for instigating a fight then Beecher.
Marchand with a record high 3 cross checks right in front of the referee with zero penalties on just one play, congrats captain
McAvoy getting angry that there was no call on a play where he tripped over his own feet in no man’s land and then hitting Guttman from behind again for no call
Bedard getting held an infinite amount of times
Bedard getting tripped by Carlo on a very blatant attempt to just take out his legs
Too many interference penalties for me to remember them all, but McAvoy had a pretty bad one near the end of the game right in front of the linesmen that went uncalled.
Brutal night for officiating.
Pretty happy with the first 2 games. Hockey is back! Can’t expect to win every away game against playoff teams when we got the #1 pick last year.
The team was out played but they were grinding, a little more experience and growth and they might be able to get out of that jam in the future. The bruins won because they played with cohesion. Excited to see if this hawks team can find an identity
Seth Jones…and you wanna be captain with that terrible pinch with the empty net leaving Bedard on the 2 on 1? Can we find someone to take this guy?
If Hall is going to end up missing time, I hope they alternate guys on Bedard’s wing. No offense to AA, but it felt like he’d just repeatedly lose the puck when he’d get it in the offensive zone. Essentially forcing that line to play in the defensive zone most of their shift, which is such a waste.
Also, Korchinski has looked better than I imagined, and I already had high expectations.
