  1. I’m going to be honest with you here, I think he is in fact going to have a bounce back season but it’s not going to be what we all think. My prediction, 81 points for him.

  2. Bruh hes only your favorite because hes the "best" player on the flames. Get real. Hes gonna shit the bed, have fun with that contract.

  3. Huberdeau is basically an assist guy, so he needs a goal scorer or he's not going to get 90 points. Lindholm is an OK goal scorer, but really a 25-30 goal guy. Unless Coronato is the guy, or Mangiapane can repeat his season of a couple of years back, I don't know who is gonna be the guy that Huberdeau is going get the 60 assists from in order to reach 80-90 points.

  4. I'm rooting hard for Huberdeau as well. I'm thinking 75-87 points from him. But even that might not get the Flames into the playoffs. They need so many more bounce back/career years from guys.

  5. Im rooting just as hard as you. I picked him up in the later rounds of my fantasy league in hopes he’d explode again

  6. Calgary players are at a great buy low right now. I got markstrom, huberdeau, and kadri all late in my fantasy draft.
Agreed on the redemption szn for Calgary, such a steal

  7. You know, I wouldn't actually be surprised if the flames finished first in the division. I don't think they will, but the division is so tight it could really go to any of the 5 teams expected to make the playoffs.

  8. Huberdeau is a cancer, a whiner, extremely entitled, and the flames will never win anything significant with him in the lineup. He thinks hes bigger than the team. This is why Florida got better without him and the flames got worse with him. Ex. Tkachuk didn't like Sutter at all but he still performed for him and the team did very well with Sutter. The next season, same coach, same team for the most part except huberdeau and tkachuk swapped places. Huberdeau whined, complained , and the team stunk. It's all about him.

  9. Hubie J was good and effective because he was on a decent Florida team. Throw him into Calgary, hes just another player making $10mil 🤦‍♂️I told you Flames fans when he got traded, that ya were gonna be salty by the 3rd season of his contract 🤣

  10. I love it !!! … This is an absolute " BOAT ANCHOR", of a contract for Calgary, which ensures there inability to secure talent in the upcoming seasons. Huberdeau will "spoil on the vine" !

  11. I believe in Huberdeau and Markström bounce back seasons. Two of my favorites. Let's gooo!

  12. I’m really hoping for the flames to get at least 3rd in the div this season, because those western conference wildcard spots are going to be an absolute bloodbath going down the stretch

  13. I see him getting less then 60 points this season… Last season showed he isn't as good as we thought.

I will be extremely surprised if he brings any value to the team with how much his dead weight contract has handicapped our ability to bring actual good players in.

I'd HOPE he does better than last year, considering he didn't even look worthy to be in the NHL…

But to expect more than 50 points from him is starting to push it.

Flames will probably not be making the playoffs for the next few years at least

  14. Huberdeau has been one of my favorite players for years, and I absolutely want him to come back with a vengeance. That being said, I do think he's going to recover from last year, but I'm thinking he's only just going to cross 70pts. We'll see…

  15. It's gonna be a tough year. I'm not holding my breath but I hope they play better. We'll find out if Sutter really was the issue or not. Losing Toffoli was tough, but Sharangovich might be a good piece.

  16. If all of Calgary's top players have a bounce back year, if all the stars align and the team plays at its peak, they are gonna be solidly mediocre

  17. Cheering for the Flames, cheering against Hubredeau. I will give him credit though. That was an amazing pass on the empty net goal in the season opener. Not many players would have the skill to bank the pass off the post like that!

  18. Lucky if he breaks 70…he is just not the guy, he is being paid like he is but WHO MISSES AN EMPTY NET GOAL. He isn't it the flames and all the fans will look back on this contract as one of the biggest blunders of this generation of hockey. Should he prove me wrong well hell yes please do. I would say if he is able to find the click he had in Florida with any flame shooter he will have shockingly good comeback if he doesn't its a copy paste last season the man now holds the record for the largest point differential between seasons, not exactly confidence inspiring stuff there, so if my opinion seems too harsh well -60 enough said. I am a flames fan and would love to be wrong, I would love for him to come and and just rack up the points, but we will see with time I guess.
