What type of return would you expect for kubalik ? I’d like a second minimum. A conditional first ideally

Kubalik makes the most sense. Hopefully PD doesn’t feel the need to save face, by not trading the main piece in the DeBrincat trade and not doing what’s best for the team. Greig would fit well on left wing but more importantly, it allows Pinto to sign and play at #3/2 center depending on Norris’ health.
But, is moving Kubalic enough or do they have to move another contract too? Smejkal surely didn’t come over from Europe to play for 85K in the minors. They need to move more money to find a spot for him on the big team.
How about moving newly acquired Vladimir Tarasenko? Heck, retain $1M if you have to. He's effectively the 3RW, and he's not going to be happy or particularly productive in that role.
Why did Parker Kelly change his number from 45 to 27?
Kastelic has hands of stone. I'd trade him no problem.

Tbh, (even tho we just signed him) I'd rather move Tarasenko. We didn't really need him in the first place. Trade him out, that frees up $5 mill of space. Move Kubalik up to the top-6 & sign Pinto. That would give us around $2.5 mill in space. 🤷♂

Agree 100% about trading Kubalik. It is a shame but something has to give and we haven’t formed a huge attachment to him yet so it hurts less than the other options. And I wouldn’t use the entire 2.5 million on Pinto, you need to reserve around $100,000 in case you have to switch out some of the AHLers for more expensive ones that are playing in Belleville now (i.e. Smejke or Kleven)

These lines look much better to me give the 2nd line a sniper and the 3rd line a playmaker makes much more sense I think Greig could win those battles on the boards and feed Senko in the middle

Great to see Alfie back with the Sens although going forward it's all about merit, i.e, Alfie will have to prove his worth. I am forced to add this caveat given I remember the disastrous managerial impact of legacy Oilers players (from the '80s) on their team.
All that said, I'm confident Alfie will do a fantastic job with the Sens!
