[Paterson] Tocchet dit Blueger maintenant de semaine en semaine. Il dit que Brisebois n’a pas patiné depuis sa blessure il y a 10 jours. Encouragé par les progrès de Soucy.

Update: Tocchet said Soucy will go on the road trip, and Blueger might come later.
Brisebois who is the 8th D on the roster can’t be put on waivers while injured so Canucks will have to go with Hirose-Juulsen pair again because they don’t have the space to recall another D like McWard if they wanted to change it.

They will be back soon ish which is good.
With Blueger back I think we have a bottom six to be optimistic about. I think lost in the excitement of the home opener was how well Suter, Lafferty, and Joshua played. Joshua had a few bad plays but overall he was good.
Especially once blueger gets back our bottom 6 is looking fantastic.

This is the Nth time an injury is worse than expected…
Starting to see a pattern here.

Damn that sucks. Blueger looked so good in Victoria and preseason.
Hopefully we can have a good roadtrip and add him after to keep momentum

Brandon Tanev got his karma a few days later for that hit on Brisebois.
Meaningless pre-season game and he runs Brisebois into the boards after taking at least 5 strides.

Going into the 2nd game of the season and our blue line is already looking depleted. It’s a Canucks thing, you wouldn’t get it.

How come players from other teams can block a 100mph shot from Petey and be alright, but if a Canuck blocks a random shot they get injured easily.

Blueger blocked a shot during preseason game vs Calgary, the initial report was that he had a bruise and needed a couple of days off.
Soucy has been on the ice a few times now since injury, [video](https://x.com/patersonjeff/status/1712898975958028396?s=46&t=7fabqgtgp69dNA1d51vxFw) of him at practice this morning.
