No excuses for this Sabres loss.
I don't know if I saw it correctly. I think it was the second period. It looked like Tage was yawning on the bench. Not the worst thing to happen, but was he just a little not into the game, or maybe the juices were not flowing enough. Hope I didn't see it correctly.
It's hard to admit you got seriously outcoached. The Rangers had a plan, the Sabres were random.

Good thing we have Matt Ellis as a coach. He’s he’s amazing.
Maybe the RJ tribute should have taken place differently. Let the fans see it, then the players hit the ice in fanfare, they get introduced, the anthem, the face-off. Last night they're pumped, ready to go, then….let's watch a gloomy video. It didn't affect the Rangers, because they had no emotional attachment.
Nothing new, still the same D being mesmerized by the puck in their own zone with little back checking
