I know he doesn't want to make excuses but Lindgren's absence quite obviously had an impact on this defense. Zac Jones simply does not belong in the NHL, and our defense was significantly worse than last game. It's just a fact that our defense relies on Lindgren.
Was hoping that with a new coach things would be different, but only saw the same old problem from last year – this team simply does not want to score goals badly enough. They're playing faster and controlling the play better, but they are missing that intangible something extra that gets the puck over the line and into the net.
