I love this team so much… but the D don't seem as prepared as the forwards. Hope they work out the chemistry.
I love that they have another reliable dman for the powerplay. Morgan looks a lot better not having to take on so much responsibility.
Hire someone who is going to be able to choose a proper goal song for the team, now & in the future because whomever is doing the choosing sucks! 1st they choose the "Pursuit of Happiness" which had drug use & driving drunk references, now they chose a generic song that been used by the UK Dart Federation, for over 20 yrs. The tune is just a bunch of UK people chanting do do do do do do, most UK people don't even watch hockey ffs!
Going to be a lot of goals scored for the Leafs this year. Sadly, there’s going to be a lot of goals scored against also.
Austin is off to ta nice start but what frustrates me ( and lot of other people ) is why oh why cant he perform like this in game 7 of a playoff series when the game actually means something? . 304 regular season goals but in 4 game 7's in his career he has 2 assists and -3 ( got this off statmuse today ) He has to find a way to elevate his play to this level in the playoffs ,hopefully this year ?
William Nylander – the most underrated athlete in the history of sport …why? because some semi upright, simple minded, punch drunk members of the media have repeatedly pontificated that Nylander and Marner are to soft. While they have been forced to except these players are gifted as of late why the hell would you want a players like these, Marner, Nylander, Gretzky and alike to hit anyone with their hands of pure gold or take a hit while possessing a hockey 'IQ' of an 'ai' developed post 2045. Its like asking me to trade my 450 timberjack for a ferrai to draw logs logs threw the back 500 of the Kawartha highlands. when i heard Jay Rosehill say the leafs need to trade marner because he didn't punch back when in a tussle with Tkachuk (by the way he DID ! at :24 in associated SN video) in the spring is akin to suggesting Gretzky should have been traded for not dropping the gloves every time he was challenged- insane. Kids listen to these clowns and take it into the game causing some to have to live their lives with a debilitating injury for a stupid game which is in part why hockey enrollment has recently been eclipsed by soccer, checking is supposed to be 'angling' not murder. While i love the physical play afforded by players like Reaves doing what they do best id rather see players like Marner have longer career's rather then being 'side swiped' or punched out of their career's prematurely. i would also rather see Reaves play hockey, he's really quite good, rather then appease the knuckle draggers of our game and put some poor guy on a stretcher. But what the f….k does a dumb lumber jack-off no eh??

As someone who's watched every game of the last few years, I've already noticed something different about Matthews. He's happy! He's smiling! He's grinning ear to ear and you can feel the love radiating from this guy!
He had often seemed less than impressed with himself, his face rarely showing how pleased he is with his performances. This is refreshing. It's like that wall that was up during his 60g season, where he had a slow ass start or even last year where he could get 2 goals a game but struggled for 3. It's like he's absolutely ready to smash the wall and cruise into his prime. I'm fucking ready lfg glg
Auston deserves all this attention, but asking Willy about him when Willy's game was also electric is a bit annoying. Don't overshadow Willy's prowess, give him his due! Everyone showed up tonight, even if the D was weaker than we'd like
