hot take. this is all totally reasonable from Dubois

He’s still a bitch for “the shift” tho

  2. Sarkosuchus

Makes sense. I do not believe Dubois is a cat.

His infatuation with Montreal didn’t help

Interestingly enough: he actually loves Torts to the point he wanted Winnipeg to hire him. And it wasn’t Jarmo was too tough in negotiations.

So after all the questions about why the answer was simply “I don’t want to go through a rebuild.” Which I don’t exactly blame him for, but I think he really missed out on an opportunity to be “The Guy” here.

PLD always has been overrated in my eyes. People should enjoy their jobs. We got Laine for him. Seems reasonable to me!

Bum, he’ll force his way out of LA within 1.5 years

Part of the reason we had to rebuild was because of him. We had a huge hole down the middle until this year basically ever since he left. Respect to him for being honest, but to me it all reads that he is a mercenary who quits on teams he deems not good enough. Which in my opinion makes you a shitty teammate.

TBH I wouldn’t miss hearing about him ever again.

That’s fine, but I don’t think the « people misconstrue me » argument works when he refused to divulge any of the reasons behind his trade request at the time. At least that’s what the public was told. You can’t say nothing and then not like what people come up with about you and your reasons.

I wish I could trade in my Dubois jersey for store credit. Only got a year out of that sweater.

  11. To be honest, I get it. We all have biased glasses on because we are CBJ fans and he left us. But he’s right in that it’s his life, and if he isn’t happy somewhere then that’s something I don’t blame him for trying to do something else, especially if he understands and accepts the criticism. I feel like if I were an NHL player that was of his caliber, I wouldn’t want to be stuck somewhere I wasn’t happy. We got a good return for him also. Best of luck to him. Still hate that he quit mid game on us though.
