  1. Still deserves to be out of the league. That hit gets you kicked out at any other level because it kills. Do that in Juniors, you are lucky to play again… ever.
NHL didn't follow their own rules on it either, as it's a 5 min. major with mandatory investigation minimum. But, expansion teams have to succeed in bettman's league.

  2. People seem to forget that Colorado drew first blood with that McCann incident. I'm pretty sure no one tries to break someone's neck but Makar certainly intended to do what he did to McCann.

  3. Good on O’Connor for standing up for his teammate, and good on Eberle for answering the bell.

  4. Interesting seeing two players who don’t usually fight. Glad Ebs answered the bell, but he didn’t really get to do much with the jersey pulled over his head. I don’t consider him or Makar dirty players, but it was fun booing Makar the whole game. Great player/guy though. Glad we decided not to play into it and go after Makar at all. Just good ol harmless booing.

  5. could have ended cogs career, paralyzed him, or even killed him with his hit in the playoffs, and yet he finished that series and is still in the league today. Deserves to get his ass beat any time he plays the avs for the rest of his miserable career.

  6. Remember this fight is for Eberle litterly breaking Andrew Cogliano's neck last post season. He knew this was coming.

  7. I listen to this replay on the avalanche radio and the Announcer made it sound like the Seattle player got devastated in the fight but then saw the replay on YouTube and I realized it was exaggerative on the radio side – think it was good Colorado player stood up for his teammate got hurt in playoffs

  8. Crazy that Makar got suspended for a hit that wasn’t near as bad as Eberle’s hit on Cogliano. And Eberle wasn’t suspended. At least O’Connor gave him a 5 minute suspension. Go Av’s.
