What's the contract
Had high hopes for Rathbone when he was drafted, felt like a decent bet, but whether COVID and personnel changes affected his development, it didn't pan out with the Canucks. Wish him the best with a new start!
Rathbone was always overrated on the ice. If Chatfield looked like Rathbone (blonde hair, nice gold chain, instead of kinda homeless looking mix race guy) he'd be a lifelong canuck. Lol.

Fringe players can become something, given a chance/unblocked. Chat field can't make canucks, plays on a very good club now
I guess it's different industries but I always find it odd when managers seem to favor trading to their recent teams they used to work for. At my workplace, it's a small industry and it's not uncommon for us to deal with friends or people we know for orders, but there are policies to prevent abuse. If Rutherford/Alvin wanted to trade Petterson and three 1st round picks to Pittsburg for Jake Guentzel, who would stop them?
