Talbot deserved the shutout, he’s basically all that kept us in the game in the 1st period

Still, first win of the season! I’ll take it, the boys looked dominant in the 2nd & 3rd.

WINNING TIME!! Aside from the first ~10 minutes, the Kings played very well tonight. Great to see Dubois get his first, and against the Jets no less for some sweet poetic justice. Talbot was excellent from the start as well and kept us in when we were under fire, so that’s very encouraging to see. Wish he could have gotten the shutout, but he was great all night. And can we talk about the Danault line? All 3 of those guys were on fire tonight, they had a hell of a game. More of THIS Kings team, please.

Fucking Scheifele, I wanted to see a shutout after all the talk about the goaltending. Cam was still great in the first though

  4. skymirr

Blow up the team, we couldn’t get a shutout… /s

  5. henreiman

Great win, Talbot stood on his head and lines 2 & 3 were buzzing

Definitely some growth areas (PP) and would’ve loved the shutout, but we needed this and the boys delivered big time

Tried to tell ya’ll Moore is a better younger version of Iafallo and it was good to move his contract out

Big game from Talbot and a lot less sloppy looking play all around. That second one from Mooresy was an absolute laser.

Great showing from Talbot, pretty much everyone looked good or at least fine. Moore looks like he’s back in form for sure.

Also Arty coming in and getting 2 points is very nice to see

    Thats moore like it.

Big rebound game from Danault especially, and huge redemption game from Arty who needed a big game after letting the team down before the season started.

Moore has looked great, think he’s gonna have a big season if he stays healthy

PLD opening the scoring has got to be salt on the wound for the Jets. You love to see it. Solid win, LETS FUCKING GO!

If Talbot can be even par this year I think we got a real shot this year. I’m buying a ticket for the hype train.

    Kaliyev looked amazing

Going to score 30 this year if healthy and keeps getting top six minutes

  13. vastolorde6

Laffy scoring next game, mark my words. GKG!!!!

  14. Edmuresay

They came out looking hilariously out of sync and Talbot let them settle in. After that, they pretty much controlled the game. You love to see it. Lets see if Talbot can catch a groove.

Moore had the juice from the start and Laf continues to impress. Great to see Kaliyev come back strong, great to see Dubois score, great to see a 4 line performance. Englund stood out, as well. Nice to see from the 3rd pair.

Hope Gabe is okay :(. GKG

Laferriere didn’t record a point but the kid is a play driver.

Talbot kept us in this in the first, shame to not see him get the shutout, but FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON BABY LETS GO

Also I can’t believe Laffy hasn’t scored yet, as soon as he gets that first one I feel like the flood gates are gonna open

The second line looks absolutely devastating right now. Solid work from the third line as well. The top line was a little quiet tonight, but Kopi and Kempe put in a lot of work on the 4 kills. QB was… Pretty invisible, but it didn’t hurt us.

Talbot looked amazing. Idk if we can really count on him long term, but right now he’s clearly the starter between him and Copley. He earned that by bailing us out across the whole first period tonight.

Great win and an excellent response to the SO loss on Saturday. Let’s keep it rolling and kick some Wild ass on Thursday.

Okay, now that everyone else has scrolled by: that PK was as close to perfect as I’ve seen from the Kings in years. If they can bring that same discipline and energy to the Power Play, they’re going to win a whole lot more games than last year.

Overall, I liked what I saw from these guys tonight and I’m so happy that Talbot came this close to the shutout that he absolutely earned. In fact, he gets a shutout in my heart.

I dont know which King has control of the post game Celebration music, but that shit bumps hahaha

  20. JrdRys

I’m not bothered by losing out on the shutout, was just nice to get a convincing win against a beatable team. Very poetic for PLD to get his cherry popped in their barn. On to Minnesota!

  21. JoelGoodsonP911

Rob Blake is a genius tonight, right?

  22. mud_dragon

Lmao I’m from Winnipeg (in LA but lifelong kings fans) and they are pissed!!!

EDIT: *Winnipeg, not “winning”. The total opposite

  23. the-garden-gnome

Those Jets fans are something else, holy shit.
