They are already a tough(minded) team that finally landed a bona-fide 1C en route to winning the SC. With their new-found’ confidence, veteran leadership, and two legit goalies in their tandem, not many teams have the depth and overall toughness to grind it out with them in a 7-game series. That said, if Martinez and Pietro are out long term, Vegas’s challenge would be to win without those two multiple cup winners in their dcorp.

Vegas odds have only a partial relevance to strength of squad.
It’s a combination of that plus a level that Vegas feels comfortable to get people to bet along with a likely path to a championship (aka who they would likely play in the playoffs).
