Guys are we bad?
I’ve seen a lot of passes into skates
For all the talk of building a faster team, they sure look slow out there. Alexandrov was about the only positive that period.
– Give away puck
– Get pummeled on defense for 2-3 minutes straight
– Lucky break to get possession back
– 3 passes followed by a lazy dump in or shot so easy your nephew could save it
– Rinse and repeat
We need to storm back and score 3 in the 2nd period
Gotta keep the pressure on and create opportunities
I’m blaming the long break after just two games into the season. Kills any momentum and slows down any gelling.

I know it’s early, but seems like the offense might be the biggest problem this season
It feels like both the Cards and Blues are dinosaurs, behind the times in their respective sports.

I don’t understand how the Blues simply are unable to anticipate cross-ice passes. When I was playing defense in soccer, closing down those high danger passes were ALWAYS at the top of my mind. Obviously comparing high school level soccer to professional hockey is next to worthless, but it just seems like the Blues are lacking basic defensive fundamentals

Without looking at stats, feels like very few shots in P1 each game so far. 7 this one.

Listen, I love the Blues. We still may win this game. But this team is not good. We’re average at best, propped up by an underrated goalie. Spare yourself the heartbreak and enjoy the season for what it is. Hockey is fun.
But we’re not going anywhere with these d-men and their associated contracts.
