    I’m pretty sure they are

They already are.. and just like numerous people have already said it’s almost too much. he’s 18 and needs to adjust. NHL is setting him up to be the face of the league and its game 6

There was a moment in the game last night when the puck was live and they cut to him sitting on the bench. If anything they need to take it easy.

What? They’ve gone overboard with the hype train. It’s jumped the tracks and is running over children at this point.

I’m beyond over it. It’s getting hard to watch Hawks games when it’s just the Connor Bedard show. I’m fine with showing him on the ice, but do I need to see him on the bench? Drinking water, reacting to penalties, reacting to goals – what if I saw the penalties and goals instead?

I didn’t start watching until 2012, so I don’t know what it was like when Kaner and Tazer first came – maybe it was the same?

It seems to be good for Bio Steel.

Seriously. Why do we not yet have a broadcast that’s just a tight shot of whatever he’s doing the entire game, regardless of whether he’s on the ice? And rather than talking about the game, they could just talk about his life, and do interviews with his family, childhood friends, and people who think they might have seen him walking around town once.

Is this satire? ESPN and the NHL have done more than embrace Bedard’s hype lmao. Connor will breathe and Ray Ferraro will span that into a 2 minute rant about how that makes Connor Bedard a generational talent.

I thought this was a Beverton article until I realized they were actually serious.

If anything, they need to tone it wayyy down.
