That sucks, hate seeing anyone get hurt. Can Zamula play every game now like he has earned? Or are we gonna scratch him again for no reason?

  2. I have full faith we’ll remain a first place team upon his return.

This presents a pretty interesting scenario. Will they make Zamula an every-night player? It certainly feels like he’s earned it. But if they stop the rookie rotation, then either Andrae is playing every night with a vet (Seeler) getting scratched, or Andrae is a true 7th defensemen and he gets very few opportunities to draw into the lineup.

You’d rather have Andrae playing nightly in Lehigh than sitting nightly in Philly. But at the same time, he’s had a bit of a rough start in the NHL and I can’t blame a coach for not wanting to throw him out there every single night.

If they do send Andrae back down to get him more ice time, I assume someone like Mete becomes the 7th defenseman.

Ideally, the defense should shake out with the following:

    * Zamula takes Staal’s spot and becomes an every game player

    * Let Andrae stay in the lineup consistently for a stretch. If he struggles through ~10 games, send him to LHV. Sub-out either Seeler or Waker (Assuming Risto is going to be ready ASAP)

Oh no! Not Staal! Who is going to help our opponent win puck battles now?

In all seriousness, I hope bro gets better and it’s nothing serious.
