  1. Very sad to admit- McDavid looks very human. The first skill you lose is speed. It's never an incremental loss- it's Whammmmmmmm. Gone. Perhaps & hopefully he simply has a nagging injury we dont know about. He's the best player since Orr.

  2. Oilers fan here … They're the most overrated team in the NHL … Just look at the 5 v5

  3. imagine the penguins losing to the blackhawks with malkin guentzel crosby karlson , then the leafs proceeding to also lose to them l0l

  4. This is GM Kenny Holland’s swan song season before he retires so his players consider this a one year honeymoon. They will wait until the new GM is in place before they’ll give at least 75% effort.

Connor McDavid made a new resolution to be a better checker, yeah right! Darnell Nurse is still a gross overpayment and only Holland thought Soupy Campbell’s $5 M AAV was a bargain.

  5. I actually love Edmonton as a team, big fan of plenty of their players, but some of the fans are so toxic i kind of enjoy their misery right now😂

  6. The Oilers are one of several teams who have stunk. The Leafs don't look very good, and Bertuzzi and Domi have been "healthy scratch" level bad.

Edmonton does have defensive issues, but it seems impossible that they won't start scoring consistently. Even if McDavid drops a bit from his ridiculous 22-23 season.

  7. NGL im not surprised. I just feel like these guys have disappointed so many years in a row that almost any amount of loss is super detrimental to this squad. I mean mcdavid is 26, hes got maybe 5 more dominant years where they need to make this happen, and each year they just disappoint, and they are already looking like they have lost all hope. this is BAD. McDavids career is ruined if he stays in Edmonton.

  8. No, they aren't. This is who they are. Still far too heavily reliant on the powerplay and unwilling to work or go into corners 5v5. When their powerplay goes on obscene hot stretches and they somehow manage semi-competent 5v5 play, they win some games. When the powerplay only gives them 1 or 2 goals a game and nothing else is going, they lose. This team hasn't learned a damn thing about work ethic over the past 4 seasons. Not a damn thing. And THAT'S the baffling thing.

It's interesting how the apathy levels seem to be at an all-time high in Edmonton despite McDavid Mania. The expectations are playoffs and playoff success, and if the players can't be arsed to care on any given night, then neither do the fans.

  9. Didn't last season the Oilers start the year with 2 wins and 6 loses? Can it be the Oilers are just terrible starters, who pick up their record once the season is well under way? I don't see anything different about them this year compared to last year. Hence I see no reason to panic.

  10. In my honest opinion, they need a rebuild, trade McDavid and Drasital, they can some amazing players if they just trade them, it’s clearly not working in Edmonton

  11. holy cow…. the cope.

what we are witnessing is mcd and drai trying to decide if it's worth it to work their asses off for another year just to be rewarded with an equal or less outcome. last year they gave it everything they had and it still wasnt enough. they know they were lucky to get as far as they did.

look at mcdavid for 2 seconds and you can read it on his face. he isnt frustrated. he isnt angry. he isnt determined. he is depressed.

  12. The Oilers still have the same weaknesses, but they are not as weak as their current record indicates. They will have a good stretch later down the road where they make up for the slow start. Its happened a few times now.

Not sure they are going to make a cup run, but they will certainly be in the mix.

  13. Why is this baffling? Unless you believed "experts" who are almost always wrong about just about everything. This was easy to predict and I and many others did so.

  14. ‘What a beer league level performance’

    I feel personally attacked

  15. They were tired by coming back that extra 2 weeks, and the Flyers have been awesome lately.
I think McDavid is looking for Toronto, deep down. Not getting along with Woody, I’d say.

  16. Been thinking the same thing about the Oilers. If they go into mid to late November and they are sill trying to figure it out then forget it, it isn't going to be a Cup raising year.

  17. I love seeing this but unfortunately they'll probably get woken up when they play us in the heritage classic on the 29th

  18. East coat oiler fan here. I think the total score of the last few games I’ve been to have been 17-3. Yesterday was not any better

  19. …and yet, you will still hear people defend the absolutely stupid contract of Nurse (Makar makes less than him–who would you rather have?) and bad contract of Campbell.

  20. My kings have looked boneheaded at times but they can score. Oilers are built to score. They should be playing better.

  21. Four games in certainly is not a sufficient sample-size, but I would add this.

There are a couple of teams that feature a small nucleus of superstar players, the Oilers, and Leafs to be specific. These two teams are not fine, and while they will turn this around and get goals, guys will win individual awards, and fans will get excited…for nought.

Both teams will lose because they are NOT teams, they are a handful of talent surrounded by whatever else the team could afford. The Oil are one-dimensional, and the Buds are too soft. Vegas won a Cup with ham n' eggers, they won with grit, and a do not die attitude, they won as a team. Toronto and Edmonton have franchise players, they ARE NOT TEAMS!

  22. The Oilers are a 2 person team. If 97 and 29 don't show up. There isn't enough depth to carry they through. Conner and Leon Showed up for 2 maybe 3 plays last night. Otherwise they could've been mistaken for a pair of bottom 6 forwards. I am a Flyers fan. I for sure thought it was going to be a 5 or 6 nothing game and the Oilers were going to just spank the Flyers into the locker room. It appears the shoe was on the other foot.

  23. As a oilers fan, I'm very disappointed with my team, this is a very bad start for the oilers and I'm getting frustrated with my team, like come on oilers your better then this, trade that bum Nurse and even Connor Brown looks like a bum out there should be playing better and on McDavids line and the goaltending played like garbage, like only our offense shows up most of the time, Lol even Yamamoto is getting points and playing better then Connor Brown, what a joke oilers lol! I WANT A TRADE FOR A UPGRADE DEFENSEMAN!!! like trade Ceci trade Kulak or trade the bum Nurse for a top 4 or even top 6 stay home defense!!!! Like man come on, OILERS SUCK BECAUSE ITS OUR DEFENSE!!! if Skinner and Campbell both play like garbage then get rid of them and get a good goalie that can make some saves but I think the oilers BADLY NEED a stay home DEFENSEMAN! To many 2 way defenseman, we got our offense defenseman Bouchard! LETS GO OILERS!!!!

  24. I thought flyers were in rebuild? What the hell is going on with the oilers? Like I don’t think anyone knows lol.

  25. Go rewatch LD29 on the PK. He was a statue. And McD needed to step up as the captain and pump some life back into the team.

  26. consider these games are against teams that did not make the playoffs last year. The effort is just not there.

  27. What’s the point of this video? To talk about the McDavid and the oilers over achieving again? That it’s 4 games into the season and they’re not 45-1-1 yet? You don’t need to talk about McDavid everytime he farts. He “almost” got injured. Is that news worthy? PL Dubois scored 2 goals last night in 12 seconds but you ain’t making a video about that. We know you’re a Flames fan because you have mentioned it countless of times. No complaints about you talking about your Oilers but is it really news or worth mentioning that McDavid “almost” got injured? Brandon Taney is out for a few months because he got injured. Did you make a video about that? Just curious.
