I’m going to go with “no news is good news” here and continue to engage in some Satanic rituals to get our Swiss Prince Captain back to one hundred percent.
See you all on Monday. 🫡

I think that rules out a concussion <— hopium

I dunno if it’s just me but this does not sound like good news.

I just watched the encore and the hit and it seemed to me he didn’t lose a step at all when skating back to the bench after the hit. Is this a potential concussion protocol? I was at the game and didn’t notice anything off either.

Hmm
Not much to go on here

UPDATE: [On the potential of a call-up from Utica, Ruff says: “We’ll see how this unfolds with Nico and where Haula is at. (Utica has) some injuries right now that they’re sorting out. So we’ll sort things out come Monday.“ A callup shouldn’t be necessary if either Nico or Haula return](https://x.com/amandacstein/status/1715792105430241349?s=46&t=VD-lvSdRrR9D2wuetYiisg)

Seems like potential good news. A devastating injury would be apparent. I’m guessing it’s just soreness or something you just don’t need to play through during week 2 of the season.

I’d honestly be devastated if he was out, for completely selfish reasons. I’m a devils fan in Chicago so I only have one opportunity to see him. He’s my favorite player in the nhl. Bought glass seats for the game against the hawks to be able to see him play, as it’s really my only opportunity… I like the rest of the team, of course, but I was really going to see Nico. Obviously I knew this was always a possibility but it would suck a lot to not be able to see him play.

It’s probably a mild concussion. Sometimes you don’t even realize you have one
