The Canucks will definitely win the Stanley Cup

  2. That bad Petey giveaway on the PK in the 2nd where he immediately played amazing defense after really showed the difference between him and some of our other guys who just give up after they fuck up

  3. davefromgabe

they need to not be so comfortable with the lead next time! foot on the gas for christ sake! like game 1!

  4. maxxanation

So Myers didn’t see the ice in the third right? Or was it just me.

  5. truestlife

    Drop your PDG acronyms here!

    PDG = Pretty Darn Good

  6. -GregTheGreat-

You can rightfully point out the warts with this squad that we need to work on, but goddamn it’s refreshing being 2nd in the division after 5 games instead of already on the outside looking in. Especially given our tough schedule so far

  7. dreddi84

I think that double agent tank commander OEL played a solid game all around , easily my first star.

Eastern road trips are hard, a point in Nashville is a great start to the season for us overall. Lots of kinks to work out but I’m excited to see us with a last change advantage.

  9. JimTheDegen

Guys I don’t mean to excite anyone, but the Canucks are 3-0 this season in games where I’ve been able to wear my Petey jersey.

Definitely too many old habits still in the boys game overall but I think that minus the Philly game it is clear that this is a more balanced team overall. Hopefully more practice time can iron out some of these mistakes defensively but this roster is clearly better and more detail orientated than in previous years

  11. Captain_JT_Miller

Mikheyev looked pretty good, just needs to finish.

  12. electricnux

Looking at the schedule and the teams we had to play 3-2 is still a good start, probably better than everyone predicted. And all 3 wins in regulation.

Hopefully we close out the road trip with another win or point, and we’re not in an awful position end of October

  13. wintercom

If you told me in the begining of the season we would be 3 – 2 – 0, with two wins against EDM and one from the Stanley Cup runner ups, I’d laugh at your face.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Put Soucy on the second pair with Cole. Myers needs to go.

We could grab a giraffe from the Vancouver zoo before our next home game, give it skates, and no one would be able to tell the difference.

So… very glad they got the win, but I’m still really hoping they can play a game where they aren’t absolutely DEMOLISHED for like 15 straight minutes. It’s good that it wasn’t the second period this time but it is still really frustrating to have to deal with that third.

Here’s hoping they come out firing in Nashville, win 6-1 and basically run them out of their own rink.

Better on ice product this year under tocc but what is up with this cringy colour guy lol 😂 is this who shorty gets all year? I’ve only got to watch the two oilers games (Singh and debrusk) and this one. Hopefully his chemistry with shorty gets better because Jesus Christ…

That fourth line with Garland, Beau, and Stud looked pretty good. It’s not ideal that your 4M players are put in a line to hold the fort but if this is what it takes for them to play good, then by all means go for it.

  18. It’s hard to gauge this team. There’s definitely improvement, but the Philly game.

  19. ebb_omega

Kuz did what he does best tonight – gets himself into places where good things happen and delivering with finish. I like the idea of that line where you have Miller and PDG hard in on the forecheck and good to get good control of the puck, and then finish in Kuzmenko.

This is a solid second line. Miller has been heavily impressing me with his two-way play this year.

  20. Due_Entertainment_44

Awesome Kuzmenko got the gwg after the chatter about his slow start!

  21. helixflush

Can we talk about how awesome it is having an actual NHL calibre backup goalie?

  22. yeetmemommmy

I thought they were playing at 7 today. Lol fuck missed a good game

  23. HiredHelp13

On a side note, Brock is the strangest American name by far. Brock? It sounds like a medical condition.

  24. muslimannen

It’s kind of shocking that EP40 has gotten quite a lot of critique on here and twitter and he is still leading the league in scoring!

  25. SnooConfections8768

I am so grateful for Shorthouse being the play by play guy for the Canucks. I am watching the Oilers game and Singh is absolutely unbearable. Cringeworthy is another word that comes to mind. I guess he ticked a box though.

  26. 21marvel1

I missed the game cause I was at work, how did we fair??

  27. truestlife

Off topic question but didn’t want to make a whole new thread about this –

I’m looking at buying Canucks tickets in section 309 row 2 (behind the camera section). Anyone that’s sat there, how’s the view from there and are the cameras distracting?

  28. electricnux

    After 5 games:
    – PP 37.5%, 3rd in the league
    – PK 75%, 13th in the league

    – DeSmith 3GP (2 started) 2.73GAA and .938 SV%
    – Demko 3GP 2.57GAA and .930 SV%

  29. superworking

I was hard on Hronek and Soucy and everyone was hard on Myers after the last two games. I think all three played significantly better on almost every single shift I saw but I didn’t catch much of the third. Really hides well for all three pairs.

  30. electricnux

    Defensemen ice time:
    – Cole 19:00
    – Friedman 15:49
    – Hronek 25:11
    – Hughes 25:30
    – **Myers 13:06**
    – Soucy 17:05

Myers ice time significantly reduced this game, we got Friedman playing more than him

  31. VanGaalTheOwl

Canucks needed minimum 4 points from this trip and they’ve done that with a game in hand. It hasn’t always been pretty but nice to see this team not capitulating whenever something goes wrong.

  32. Nuck_1198

Does it annoy anyone else the way Randip Janda says Di Giuseppe on the 650 broadcast lol?

    Edit: it was Dan Riccio.

  33. Nice2See

Maybe I’m immature but I got a great deal of joy from watching OEL get beaten to the puck by Di Giuseppe then fall down on Kuzy’s winner. He also took a penalty and was in the bin for a power play goal.

Nothing personal but I was finding the talk about how awesome he was doing and Donnie & Dhali putting that poll question up about if we’ll regret buying him out tiresome.
