I hope this continues. It’s great seeing the newest generation of Wings fans experiencing some great hockey. My son is beside himself with how good this team looks.
I dunno how long this will last but if they keep racking up points then who knows by Christmas they could be in great shape. This team seems like they at least won't go on those epic losing streaks we are use to seems like this team would bounce back quickly after just one loss. I love the raw honesty from Lalonde and the players on what they still need to be better at but god damn this has been fun.
Makes me wonder what other players will want to come to Detroit if they stay strong for awhile

This start displays what has been obvious for a long time. Larkin – is really not a scorer – he excels at driving play and generating offense – but has never really had a natural goal scorer like Cat – he really needs a natural goal scorer like that to really show the best of his game. Not a stretch at this point – given the start but if they stay healthy you can see both of them having their best seasons ever. I think of Larkin as a 30ish goal guy – but now he is more than likely to have 60-70 assists – that is showing his true potential. It will get harder as the year goes on and opponents get game film and try to shut down what they are doing well but hopefully these guys have the skill to adapt.
Not only do the guys that were there last year remember how it felt. DeBrincat knows what was being said in the Ottawa locker room afterwards. No way he didn't let it be known what was said.
We keep playing well these guys like ras and veleno are going to need raises. Can you guys speak on that as we go this season? Much appreciation for what you guys do. Keep it up!

Hopefully the back up goaltending stays solid. That is something that wasn’t really mentioned, but it has contributed. It will be very important down the stretch too.
Loving the season so far. Gotta be honest though I am pretty tired of Sens fans trashing Debrincat for screwing them over. After his start this season it is clear the sens were not deploying him correctly by having him on the second line and that is all on them.

My favorite thing about the win last night, and the 3 wins prior for that matter, is that if you take every DeBrincat goal off the board, Detroit still scores enough to win each of those games.
Obviously you can’t discount what those goals do for momentum or situationally in a game, but Detroit’s getting scoring from everywhere right now. So if DeBrincat ends up on a cold streak at any point this season we’ll know that they still have a roster that can get the job done.
I am going to say it again because it needs to be said. I have never been more wrong about a player than i have been about Rasmussen. He took all critiques and negative comments from fans/journalists and turned himself into a very important name on this roster. Good on you!

Sure, Boston is off to a hot start, but they've also had a bit of a weak schedule. I fully expect us to be playing a 7-0-0 Bruins team because their schedule has been so weak. Also, on Kane, no. He might feel apprehension with signing. We don't want him, and I daresay we don't need him.

Gotta love that when the Wings get off to a great start, the criticism is that "it's early in the season" but when they get off to a slow start, it's "well it looks like it's all over for the Wings already".
