The most encouraging thing so far this season is how we’ve looked at 5v5 besides the Nashville game. It hasn’t been super flashy but for the most part the entire team is playing sound defensive hockey and we aren’t getting caved at 5v5 like we did a lot last year. Going into this season that was my #1 concern, the high end talent and goaltending was able to cover up a lot of flaws in the way they played at 5v5 the last couple of seasons, if they can just be an above average 5v5 team they’re going to win a shit ton of games.
