  1. Just as a heads up, the post for tomorrows Ask Me Anything episode is up on the community tab! Go check it out and leave a question if you have not already.

  2. I'm a Detroit fan from Russia, how long have I been waiting for my favorite team to play and everything seems to be working out, I hope they make it to the playoffs at least

  3. I have heard some rumors on Patrick Kane might come to Detroit, did you ever hear these rumors and if this happens will it help? Do we need it? Or is our depth good enough without picking up Patrick Kane, been a big fan I hope you can answer my question.

  4. Haven't seen a player like DeBrincat have this kind of immediate impact since the wings got Brendan Shanahan way back in 96-97.

  5. I was at the game and it was unbelievable, like I was watching the Wings of old. I could not believe what I was seeing.

  6. It's cool they're having a great start but this would have been so damn annoying if they were still in the Western Conference.

  7. The eastern conference will be the hardest division to predict this year

  8. Finally, Dylan Larkin has someone who he can perform with on a truly elite line. It's insane to think that, at the moment, Debrincat's average TOI is down from last season.

  9. Let’s pump the breaks on the hype, I love my Wings and I hope they can get it back what they once were, but let’s all relax. It has happened the last 3 years or so, the Tigers get off to a good start and they end up breaking their legs, arms, eyeballs, hair follicles and trip on a goal post.

  10. A weekly recap from around the league or by division/conference would be neat to see from you and would keep your content bucket full! Love the videos been watching since 2018. LGRW!

  11. DeBrincat is easily the most underrated!!! And damn is the lad entertaining……go bruins

  12. The Red Wings look really good early in the season. Not sure if they can keep this pace though, the season is long.

  13. It’s okey OhNyquist, we all know you’re a Red Wings fan and that it’s been rough. Post as much Red Wings material as you like, I’m happy for you and all the other Red Wings fans! 🤙🏼

  14. You don't need a superstar to succeed, look at the Kraken and Vegas (debatable) last year. Edmonton has both McDavid and Draisaitl and look where they're at. To be 100% honest I'd rather have a lineup like ours this year where we have good guys that slot into their roles because at the end of the day, a superstar alone will most likely not carry you to a cup.

  15. I think it’s really cool to see you do reviews of red wings games. You do a good job of analyzing the how the team plays, and it’s easy to tell you are a big fan (in a good way). Even as a caps fan I wouldn’t mind seeing more of these videos! Keep up the good work🫡

  16. It doesn’t feel real yet, but I’m enjoying the high. Let’s go Red Wings! Goose was supposed to be what Debrincat is, remember those days? lol

  17. While I think a game by game recap may get boring after a while, a weekly/monthly recap would be interesting.

  18. Besides the obvious chemistry between Larks and DBC, there are other nice developing stories. Velano looks like he's finally figured it out. I look at the forward lineup and believe they are gonna be fine scoring this year for the first time in a long time. Credit so far to Stevies moves which seem brilliant so far. And credit to Lalonde who has them playing for each other.

  19. Yzerman has proven you build a team from the Bones up. You get guys who can play the hard minutes, the defensively consistent Vets in free agency and then drafts young talent who can be placed in optimal developmental positions down the road. This way he doesn’t overspend on stars but grows his own for the hometown deal. Larkin and Debrincat perfect examples of outplaying their contracts (atleast for now). I will be interested to see the deals he gets done with Raymond and Sieder.

It’s obvious Yzerman is one of the best at identifying complementary play styles and putting players in positions where teammates compensate for weaknesses and individual strengths synergies with one another. Lalonde is a breath of fresh air also… wishing the wings a great season ahead, trip back to the playoffs that gets out of the first round.

  20. I agree that this level of scoring is unsustainable (enjoy it while you can!), but in the earlier games the Red Wings gave up way too many prime scoring chances against, and they won based on a combination of goalie heroics and simply outscoring their mistakes.

What I found most encouraging about the Calgary game is that they were better on defense, giving up a lot fewer prime scoring chances to the opposition. If they can figure out how to do that on a consistent basis, then they should be able to sustain the winning even beyond the point where they can sustain their current ridiculous level of scoring.

  21. To all the critics who said that Alex DeBrincat is no longer the 40-goal scorer that he was in Chicago: given that he now only needs to score 32 more goals this season to definitively prove you wrong, are any of you still standing by those comments?

  22. I’m old so I have to say the rebuild has actually been kind of nice .. I mean I couldn’t really ask for a better fan career after all the winning the wings did for the first 30 years of my life .. that said it’s also very nice to see them start off so well . There’s always a level of luck in a winning streak and they’ve had several the last few years .. but this doesn’t seem so much like luck as it has in those .. this seems like a legit team taking a big step .. we aren’t cup bound but we’re gonna give a lot of teams some major pains in their asses this year

  23. Definitely up for a daily game re-cap if you are! Especially if we get to vote on the game you cover.

  24. I understood why the Blackhawks traded debrincat, it made sense and they picked up a high draft pick for him. But the senators trading him seemed at the time to be a massive blunder and now after his torrid start it really stings. Way to go senators.
