  1. My Hockey Heros for different and similar reasons;
    1)-Wendel Clark, Leafs
    2/3)-Steve Yzerman, Wings
    2/3)-Robert Orr, Bruins
    True North.
    Strong.
    Free.
    Could use you all right now. Not talking Hockey

  2. I was a 10 year old die hard I still have my first Maple Leaf jersey. It took a long time to get over that loss. I didn’t watch the final that year. The feeling was the dream Cup Final was taken away. Looking back Toronto should have won Game 7 and just didn’t perform. Montreal would have been especially hard to beat and I don’t know if the Leafs had anything in the tank by that point.

  3. I remember when i was watching the playoffs on cbc I'd always miss the first period cause it was supper time and that was before when watching TV during supper was the norm

  4. Closest we've been to getting back to the finals since 67 😪 damn you Kerry Fraser. Robbed of a dream final.

  5. That useless, good for nothing penalty by Anderson is always over shadowed by Gretzky's high stick in the playoffs

  6. This team of hockey players represented something even bigger that the Stanley cup in the world of hockey!!

  7. The question is….do you think the Kings would have won game 7 if it wasn't for Bob Mckenzies comment about "Gretzky skating like he has a piano on his back"?? I don't think they would have. Gretzky was pissed after that comment and ended up playing what he says is his best game he's ever played in his NHL career.

  8. We're not going fuck around here are we? We're talking an alternative universe where a proud Canadian went back in time preventing time where Frazer was never in his daddy's ballz

  9. Toronto Maple Leafs were actually a good team in the 1990's and early 2000's made the conference finals several times.. the 1980's was by far Toronto's worse decade they were fucking terrible in the 1980's… the 1980's is definitely what set this franchise back.. Toronto hasn't been able to recover..

  10. All I can think of is that Gretz call and the end of a Toronto vs Canada Stanley cup. I don't watch hockey anymore.

  11. Fletch built such a soid, experienced defence. That was one of the keys, and highly unsung.

    Anyone who tells me today that 'the leafs woes have nothing to do with upper mngmt, it's all about the players on the ice' have NO idea what it means to build a hockey team.

  12. I love how Burns just shakes Wendel's hand but doesn't let it go until he is off the ice Burns loved these guys what could have been for us leaf fans back in 93 what ride thirty years ago that spring was.
