Yeah, those shots from Washington were pretty meaningless, and it made xG models claim the Leafs got massively outplayed, but I think they tend to overvalue the existence of shots, like they're pretty good at assigning a proper value for an average shot but they give way too high a value to a meaningless crap shot. I think the Leafs were the better team in this game.

On the goal that was called back for washington when ovechkin was driving the net he trips nylander before goalie interference with woll. Is that not interference or tripping and called back anyways regardless of the goalie interference? I'm genuinely curious as I'm not some huge hockey head I watch the leafs that's it don't even know all the rules.

I'm a Yotes fan (yes, there are many of us) and one of my most cherished memories as a father is when Shane Doan was on the tv my son would point and yell "SHANE DOAN! SHANE DOWN!" and then he would howl. 😢🥹

I got to witness my first Toronto maple leaf home game when they faced the wild. Now growing up in Newfoundland and watching the fog devils, icecaps and now the growlers in our little arena does not compare tothe intensity and excitement in the Scotiabank arena. It was amazing and i hope i get to see many more. Great game today as well.
