Can someone please explain to me what exactly was done to improve this team in the off-season? The intensity level that we need is just not on display.
How many times do I have to say this? It's been since before preseason games even started. Jay's new box zone defense system at 5v5 will destroy this team, for a number of reasons. And not to mention it didn't even need to happen. Overcoaching 101. Trying to fix what wasn't even broken, and break it. What a clown.
I hate to address the elephant in the room, but I think Vegas has officially Calgary Flamed us. It's abundantly clear we haven't recovered from that series loss. And where's Vegas now? Oh, that's right… 7-0 and a Stanley Cup sitting in their trophy case.
It is always easy to blame the coach if things are going wrong. But it is right this time. Doesn’t matter who played defense or was goaltender. After every loss in the last 3 years people blamed them. I guess it has more to do with coaching than bad players (for 3 years).
Even in the successful last season I always had the feeling that Jay isn’t the man. Compare him to McLellan or Cassidy. Their self-confidence isn’t acted. That is reflected on the team.
I addition the tactical set-up Jay made doesn’t help at the moment…! Get a new coach. Quick.
Besides Kane, not much physical play, yes defense is soft, but forwards are way softer coming back. Missed some big opportunities, and gave up too many big ones.
Cup or bust. This team is sinking quicker than the Titanic. Only 1 win and all the crap teams going to spank us. Why do we let 4 goals in our net every game? Get some muscle 💪. Get some balls 🏀-🏀. Get in their face. Do something for their goalie. 😅

Jay is NOT a good coach. 3 too many men is on the coach.
Sometimes change isn’t good. Woodcroft now tried to shake stuff up for the sole reason of changing things.
