Season is over imo. This team is helpless. A product of a lot of bad contracts by GMBM
Definitely not the start I was expecting. It’s been interesting to say the least. I do think trying to implement such a scheme change is challenging so I’m just going to sit back and let’s see what happens. Just piecing things together.
14 SOG is atrocious. How many missed the mark? Probably had 20 total shots. I'm sorry but Ovechkin is done. Quality over quantity. Toronto only had 17 shots and had 4 goals. Shooting from everywhere and anywhere just doesn't work.
Ovi needs a 2 goal game and get going this is atrocious trade him or help him get him that goal record having terrible players doesn’t help get some play makers
One game they’re getting the shots, but not the goaltending, the next they seem to be able to comeback. Etc, need to get the good things to happen at the same time. Win two in a row and they’re .500. Being early in the season I can see it happen cause Ovechkin is still great. It doesn’t look good, but I think they should give the team 10 games before any drastic changes.
Ovi needs to go on a 3 month “injury”vacation and do a boot camp that would make Rocky Balboa jealous.

These comments are all depressing, not very “fan” like… my favorite- “the season is over imo” I laughed out loud, I may be the optimist and try to see / figure out what what we’re working with, as I’m sure the team is. But season over, already?!? Geez man. The irony is we have some of the best career players, and kids that have never played an nhl game before. Tough mix if ppl aren’t “meshing” Idk why, but I hated the lines last night, none of them clicked, so I hope they change that up. …ovi’s shots on goal was kinda scary and don’t wanna see that many misses again. I see how him not giving up is an example, but it’s Ovi! …coulda gotten a couple more of those in. Leafs were piled up in front of net almost every time. Dan love your optimism. As they say in football, “any given day of the week (Sunday)” lol. POSITIVE momentum is def what we need also.
I’m hopeful tonight’s change in goal will be a spark for this team.
The offense was working well last night even so they scored only once but 3 goals on 9 shots from the Leafs ?? Washington needs to get the goalie issue fixed!!!!
