Morning r/canucks fam, another Farmies from ya boi.
Another rough performance from Abbotsford last night, but despite getting shelled, they came away with the two points.
Nikita Tolopilo was good
Vasily Podkolzin was the hero
Christian Wolanin was the best player on the ice at all times
…but a lot of players really struggled.
As always, any questions, pop em in the comments and I’ll try to answer them all

Love to see pod killing it hopefully he keeps it up and if ~~When~~ we trade garland he’s up here and putting up numbers.

Thanks for your work. Based on their production so far, I imagine that Podz, Aman and Wolanin will be the first call ups when there are injuries. But who do you think are the second wave of call ups based on their play so far?

Tolopilo is way outplaying Silovs thus far.
Silovs: 3 starts / 0.853 save percentage / 1 win
Tolopilo: 2 starts / 0.949 save percentage/ 2 wins
Yes, a tiny sample size, but Tolopilo has kicked ass in both of his starts.

How close is Bains in your opinion?
What do you think is the optimum time frame to leave him in Abby for before recalling him with the intention of keeping him up (obviously only if he proves to be up to snuff).
Also, how is Pod looking defensively?

Love hearing all our prospects doing so well so early on. Future looks bright, but I know, I know, just take it easy.
It’s great to see the progress though. If Podkolzin can string together a solid AHL performance, at least we know we have someone ready to call up and not make the Canucks miss a beat.

What’s the deal with Räty? He’s only in his age 20/21 season but I was hoping he would play top 6 this year after looking good in the preseason imo.
