  1. Jets fans get the loudest. They should never leave Winnipeg, just lower the tickets by $20 so ppl can buy concessions

  2. Inflation over 25% in the last 3 years. My salary increase : 12.6%

We have no money for billionaires

  3. The Jets 2.0 are in a completely different situation than the original Jets. Jets 2.0 have different revenues and True North owns most of downtown Winnipeg. When Canada gets a new PM things will get better for people incomes and attendance will rise again.

  4. It’s complacency and spoiled fans. If the Oilers can keep their barn sold out through the decade of darkness, there’s no excuse for a 15000 seat arena not to be sold out with a reasonably competitive team in a place where there’s nothing to do from Nov-March.

  5. Im a winnipeger and i’d go to a jets game every chance I got if there was a chance in hell I could afford that. Jets games are an annual luxury event unless there’s a last minute price drop due to poor attendance for us

  6. With a new NDP govt about to Tax Manitoba to death, see ya later Jets

  7. Funny, I went to Ticketmaster for a Jets game and most of the ones I tried to get said "No ticket available". So I don't think they're losing money. Also doesn't help that the Blue Bombers have been the best team in the CFL since 2019 and when the economy is crap.

  8. Jets ownership are absurdly wealthy. A few lean years won't kill them. I think they'll be fine.

  9. They’ll be fine. True north does a fantastic job and the team won’t go anywhere. Wealthiest owners in the league. Like you said it’s just a bump in the road. I’ve been going to 10 games(partial season tickets) per year every year since they returned and I will
continue to do so. Go jets

  10. The Jets aren't going anywhere. Attendance will sort itself out but on top of that TNSE owns the rink, they make serious money off all the concerts and events that happen there. They are also owned by the guy who owns fucking Reuters my dudes, who also owns True North Group commercial real estate development which if I'm not mistaken has invested probably billions into the surrounding downtown area near the rink. Having that rink there and an NHL team there increases the value of the rest of their property.

  11. Teams need to sell tickets to fill arenas. I mean, if you need another 4000 people in attendance, you will have to lower your prices. It's better to sell at 1/4 price and have full seats then it is to have ahalf empty stadium.

  12. When people in Buffalo show more support for their forever losing team then canadian Jets fan in Winnipeg do for theirs, you have to wonder if Winnipeg really deserve a team…

  13. Bettman went to the end of the world to keep Arizona in the league but there's no way he'll do that for a Canadian team.

  14. The league is probably ready to pull the trigger…. you're a bunch of idiots Winnipeg. You'll cry rivers if they leave and will do exactly what the league thought you'd do after the jets departure. Buying merch from another team and keep your cable deals to watch hockey.

  15. Trudeau has destroyed this country. Have you seen the price of grocery’s and fuel? Housing?

  16. The Canadian economy will struggle very soon with a weakening Canadian Dollar & perhaps a housing crash.

Canada's housing market did not suffer in 2008 as much as the US & others.. That collapse cannot be avoided.

  17. As an Oilers fan i see first hand what a bad start and underperfomimg team looks like. How can anyone in Winnipeg use a bad team as an excuse not to show up to Jets games? The Jets are off to a good start

  18. I do not think the Jets help themselves by having the Manitoba Moose play in Winnipeg. Giving people the option to cheap out and watch "pro" AHL hockey for less will hurt your premium products bottom line. Also I have to say, as awesome as those jersey are, they are boring and its time the update their look. Hopefully next year with the jersey switch.

  19. Attendance lows are because of the economy. Nobody has disposable income. I live in Winnipeg, fans love this team. They have to chose between feeding their family or scale back the luxuries. Easy choice. This is the government’s fault. That’s it. Improve the economy and people will be back.

  20. Im from the Peg! Ive been to a few games, and love the jets, but i feel its more so cause winnipeg is more a blue collar town then a money town like Cal, Edm,Van, Tdot, MTL, not as many ppl with spare money like other provinces, we have one of the lowest wages/salaries compared to other provinces, where its hard to afford to go to a game, think of the bigger picture when going to a game. Pay for a ticket or 2 80-400$, parking 10-15$, drinks food 50-100$, plus fuel to and from, so to manage to get out to a game regularly for a non season ticket holder is hard round here. Also why go to the game when you can watch from the comforts of your home for fraction of the price lol

  21. and people wonder why the NHL are expanding to American cities exclusively. People wonder why Atlanta is rumored despite it being their third chance.

  22. The cost of living in Canada has significantly risen and I'm sure is a factor in why attendance is down.

  23. how is this a problem for the jets? look at some places in the USA, half the arena is empty and nobody panics. why is it that when a Canadian team struggles like the Americans, everyone loses their minds and talks about relocating?
